We stayed in the Iverna for four nights. It was the most enjoyable and  relaxing experience. Our room was a family room at the top of the hotel but well worth climbing the stairs. The room was spotless and airy. Richard the host was calm and welcoming nothing was too much trouble. We will be back.. 

Felt like we were in the clowds

We booked this bed and breakfast for my in-laws, they said it was a fantastic place to stay. Lovely sea view room, plenty of tea/ coffee and bonus of fresh milk. Richard very accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely tasty breakfast and plenty of it. Ideal spot in Eastbourne close to amenities would definitely recommend 

Lovely b and b

Lovely little place to stay, conveniently located for  Eastbourne town centre and walks over the South Downs.

Stayed in the family room at the top which was spacious and very clean. The views were amazing. 

We were lucky enough to find a parking space right out the front for our short stay.

Richard was friendly and helpful and cooked a nice breakfast to order.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back when next in Eastbourne.

Lovely little place to stay

We arrived next day as to Richard we would he charge for the room .room shabby toilet in bedroom not flush well shower in another room had to go out room get to it very old chest if drawer which need dumping on a skip.beds moved on wheels no castors to stop this and I have health issues .behind beds filthy with dust and rubbish behind .I asked for heating richard said it on a timer don't stay there he's not a nice person nasty if you say truth.

Not happy

Had a lovely week in Eastbourne. Stayed in Iverna Hotel and the room was good and breakfast was excellent. Great view of the sea from the balcony. Room was a good size. Richards hospitality was top notch. Thanks

Richard very welcoming extremely clean, lovely room with balcony table and chairs beds very comfortable, covid 19 social distancing spot on with gloves hand sanitizer and masks ready to use, l honestly can not say a bad thing about our stay Richard even does the hoovering 

Relaxing stay

My partner and I came for a weekend get away to relax. Could not have asked for more. Friendly and welcoming on arrival and very friendly host. Our room was aces, not a spec of dirt/ dust. Bathroom felt homely and clean which is always important and after a very comfortable sleep, waking up to a perfect full breakfast was the cherry on the cake. Definitely hoping to stay here again on future visits and will recommend to anyone, thanks for having us.

Extremely Recommended

This place is disgusting. I booked through booking.com who are generally fairly accurate. The room I booked had a 'private' bathroom on the description. It did not mention it was external to the room. The room was dingy and shabby with thick dust on skirting boards behind bed. I developed hives in the night and could not sleep I was itching so much. The tiny dingy w.c. in the room was not up to flushing toilet paper away. There was no internet at all even using my own mobile data. The t.v. was very old and had very small screen. I spoke to Richard the following morning and said I was unhappy and he finally agreed he should get description on the site amended to be clearer on the bathroom location. I told him I was leaving immediately. I went to the View hotel and was treated with respect and given a beautiful clean en suite room with 24hr free WiFi. The contrast between these two hotels was shocking and had I booked the View initially the cost was not that much more. Then when I tried to access my booking with Richard I got a message from Booking.com that they had been informed I had never shown up! I emailed Richard to ask why and he said he didn't know I had left so had to list me as a no show. He is a nasty person who can put on a smiley face as long as you don't complain. I totally agree with the other reviewers on here who clearly had experienced Richard and his deviousness. I will contact Booking.com and advise that I will not be using them again unless this is put right. I am not bothered about the loss of money I have incurred but do not want others (particularly single pensioners) to have such a nasty man ruin their holiday. Richard you made a point of telling me you were 60 (like that is old) in the hope it would gain you sympathy no doubt.  You will get your comeback for your nasty mean spiritedness. You are fully aware your description is misleading. I would also suggest you give the balcony room a deep clean and check for fleas as I believe I was badly bitten by something.

Disgusting

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights 31st August to 2nd September. Sue was very welcoming when we arrived she showed us to our room and gave us the keys. Our room was lovely and clean and the bedding was fresh. Beds very comfortable (we pushed the single beds together) In our room we found a tv, kettle, fridge, tea, coffee, milk, sugar and cups.The toilet and sink are in a separate room in the bedroom. Towels are also provided. Our room had a a large window which we left open so we woke to the sound of the sea (amazing) We had a balcony with fantastic views of the pier and the sea. Sue provided us with a table and chairs to use. 
The hotel is very old and Richard and sue are keeping the history alive. Some might find it old fashioned but we really enjoyed having breakfast with a disco ball on the ceiling. Richard cooks an amazing breakfast and we had plenty of tea, coffee and juice. Richard was very chatty and told us some history of the hotel and local area and advised us on where to visit for lovely views (Burling gap on an open top bus) 
Tesco is a short walk from the hotel and the town is is about a 10-15 minute walk. The icecream parlor next to the hotel is  must the icecream is lovely (ques go into the street) 
Watching the sunrise from the balcony with a coffee was the icing on the cake.
Lovely clean and tidy hotel with lovely hosts. Cant wait to book again.

Lovely stay

Rooms are clean, functional and of a good size (huge bathroom). The room I stayed in overlooked the seafront and the owner pleasant and helpful. Offered good value for price.
Parking is in the street, so good luck with that!
