Apologies Bernadette for the delayed review.
I could just say it was perfect which would cover it nicely.however,I will expand .
Bernadette welcomed us to her beautiful home like we were old friends and,over the next two days,was friendly,helpful good fun and also provided us with a perfectly cooked breakfast on a hot plate(essential to keep food warm).
My room was extremely comfortable and the shower excellent.The bed was so comfortable that even after an extremely "heavy" night I woke feeling refreshed and ready for the day ahead.
Brilliant location just a few minutes walk from the town centre although it did seem to take a little longer on the way home for some reason.

My only slight complaint was that my golf was terrible !!

Honestly,if you are in Dumfries,go and see Bernadette and she will make sure you have a lovely time.

Bernadette is a Star.

Just had a great weekend in Dumfries golfing and sampling the night life all was great however it was surpassed by this FAN BLOOMING TASTIC B&B, I highly recommend staying here as do my golfing buddies. This is an excellent boutique style place, a grand Victorian terrace, tastefully decorated and well equipped bedrooms, mine had a glorious walk in shower en-suite. The hostess Bernadette was lovely and produced a smashing cooked breakfast to order each morning. 5+ stars in service from me. Handily located for a short walk into town and Bernadette even managed to sort some parking as well.

Don’t miss out, you’ve just got to stay here if visiting Dumfries

Discovered this lovely bed and breakfast by chance and so glad we did!  Great location and within walking distance of the centre of Dumfries.  On arrival we were welcomed at the door by the owner Berni and shown to our very large, immaculate and spotlessly clean bedroom with large en suite, all very tastefully decorated.  Great nights sleep in a very comfy bed followed by a fabulous, freshly cooked to order breakfast. We will definitely be back.

A superb place to stay in a fantastic house, we had a great room very comfortable and a very nice bathroom. Breakfast was very good everything catered for to start the day. In a very convenient position to get in and out of the town and about 15 minutes walk into town.

A place to enjoy with a warm welcome by Bernadette.  We had a nice room at the first floor.  Everything was very clean. We parked our motorbikes dry. In the evening went for a 15 minutes walk to the centre for dinner and drinking whiskeys in The Globe.

Brilliant rooms , great size bathroom in room 2. Very clean  and excellent breakfast,  would highly recommend.  Plenty free on street parking very close to site

Great Find

Bernadette could not have been a better host. Breakfast was excellent. Room had all the facilities you need and Bernadette provided fresh milk on request in a flask. Good sized rooms and very quiet. Comfy bed made for a good night’s sleep. Would highly recommend and will stay here if travelling this way again. Parking on the road next to the terrace was no problem at all.

Lovely place to stay, great location, fab host

The five star reviews on here are spot on! absolutely fantastic guest house / B&B. Beautifully decorated, comfortable bed and a dark, quiet room. Loads of little touches that didn't go un-noticed including individual sensor lights above each bedroom! A great nights sleep was complimented by a lovely, freshly cooked to order breakfast the following morning and a pleasant chat with Bernadette the owner. If I am in the area again this is where I will be staying.

Wonderful place to stay, as good a B&B as I have stayed in, very clean, decorated to a high standard, fantastic breakfast, comfortable bed and a few little extra touches like the Nespresso machine in our room.
Bernie provides a warm welcome and was very helpful in providing advice on where to go/eat etc.

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Glenaldor House.
We upgraded to a deluxe room and it was absolutely beautiful.
Large room and bathroom, bed so comfortable and immaculate.
The house is so amazing and Hibernate the owner is so friendly and helpful and make the most amazing breakfast.  
Location is great near to the station and about 15 minutes walk where there are plenty of shops, restaurants and bars.
I would strongly recommend Cavens Arms to eat its lovely.
