Friendly staff. Rooms very cosy and comfortable. A well stocked bar and lounge area with an open fire. Views are amazing and not far from Oban Centre. Will definitely stay

We booked a triple room(room 7) with sea views and it did not disappoint. The room was cosy, comfortable and very clean. The staff were all very friendly  Would definitely recommend.

5 adults in 3 rooms we had a wonderful time not only with our family but with the staff. Everyone and everything was just great. Although this is not a 5 star hotel, they provide you with a 5 star experiance.

We booked a small double room as we were staying just the one night, but it was very comfortable and very clean.  The staff were all very friendly and the evening meal and breakfast were excellent.  Would definitely recommend.

Visited this hotel with a number of Family, including relatives from Canada, hospitality was superb , food was superb , rooms were very comfortable and clean,it was obvious that a lot of money had been invested on the rooms and shower rooms etc,communication with Susan before our visit was greatly appreciated and we had a superb stay

This is a great small Scottish hotel - the rooms are spotless, the food is good (macaroni cheese and lemon posset were delicious), the location is right by the sea with good views and the staff are friendly and helpful.  It's my second stay, and I was remembered by the owner who served breakfast - which is impressive given the number of people who stay.

We stayed for 3 nights end of Feb. Very friendly hotel with beautiful view of Loch. Our room was spotlessly clean and warm.
Breakfast was self service continental but cooked dishes we brought to table. We had Full Scottish breakfast which was very tasty. We also had dinner one night, had their legendary Steak pie was very nice.
Would definitely recommend this hotel if you are staying in the area.

Never been disappointed, warm welcome by the friendly staff, nice fresh clean room with sea view, wine cool, food freshly cooked and tasty, good breakfast in the morning, Rudi and Susan were excellent mine hosts, made even better by an exceptional weekend of sunny weather, well be back again soon.

This was our first time here. We booked a 4 night stay here based on the reviews about the owners first and the accommodation second.
We were not disappointed with either case. Location was excellent. 
Food was plentiful and delicious. 
Accommodation was such that we will return. 
Rudi was brilliant from greeting us on our arrival to  us reluctantly having to say goodbye. 
This little gem we found will be shared with our family and friends. That means we would definitely recommend staying here.


Perfect location to enjoy the surroundings and to enjoy stunning food.  The atmosphere was welcoming and every member of staff acknowledged us with a smile and friendly approach.  Our food was beautiful, delicious and hearty, nod to the chef.   Special mention to James who looked after us, perfect service and made our night with his hassle free service and going the extra mile.  Thank you and please recognise James for his fabulous service 

We are normally abroad this time of year but with having an early summer holiday we booked the Lochnell Arms  earlier in the year for a short break for our anniversary. Lovely hotel throughout, cosy and restuarant and bar were perfect. Had dinner on the first night which was very nice indeed. the second night we decided to have dinner in nearby Oban for our anniversary. Breakfast in the mornings was excellent and plenty of choice for all. Staff were great and very friendly throughout our stay. Would definitely reccomend the Lochnell for a stay if travelling to Argyllshire and we hope to come back again soon.
