What a fabulous find. 
 
The Keepers is a welcoming, cosy, and stylish country pub set in a charming Cotswolds village.  Despite being overly late for our lunch booking on a busy pre-Christmas Saturday we were warmly greeted by the host. 

Our food was equally fabulous!  My husband practically licked the plate of his beef carbonnade and my hot smoked salmon and fennel salad was absolutely delicious. 

The Keepers is dog-friendly and surrounded by walking trails and quintessential Cotswold villages. 

We are already planning our next visit.

Contemporary & tastefully decorated with a cosy feel. Comfortable.
Always has a wide choice of tasty dishes which are well presented.

Highly recommend for lunch

Came here for Sunday lunch after a walk and was perfect. Food tasted amazing, good quantity of roast pots and gravy and had a friendly atmosphere. Dogs welcome and staff were great. Definitely recommend the pub for food.

Excellent Sunday lunch

Only stayed the 1 night for the wife's birthday, lovely. Room very nice,a lot of thought as gone into the decor.
Landlord Jon and his wife made you feel at home so did the locals.
We loved sitting outside on a beautiful summer's night talking and having a laugh, with the hosts and locals. A peaceful village, no traffic roaring past in the mornings.
Loved the breakfast box in the morning, nice touch.

Lovely Stay.

Loved our stay at the Keeper's Arms. Staff all so friendly -  we were met by the Owner John who was serving beers to the locals inbetween showing us to our room. Alice who served our breakfast was efficient, chatty & helpful - and the breakfast was delicious. There is very little in this gorgeous English village - great spot to take a nice long walk or just relax at the Inn's outside seating while sipping on a glass of something. We had dinner at the pub - a scrumptious burger with all the fixings. We stayed in the Earl Gray room which was a good size & very comfy - only thing is that we could hear some voices drifting up from the pub outdoor seating around 10.45pm - however the noise did not last. Would recommend this delightful little spot if you are meandering through the Cotswolds.

Quaint & comfy inn in the English Countryside

Just come back after spending two nights here
What a lovely experience.
We had the drum and monkey room which is the whole of the top floor don’t think we have ever stayed in such a big room and we have stayed in many over the years. The decoration was spot on modern but quirky. The bed was very comfortable and if you needed anything you just needed to ask.
We ate here for the two nights as there is not a lot of other choice nearby but that was not a problem as the food was delicious well cooked and presented very well.
We were on a b&b tariff and as we stayed on a Thursday and Friday we had the lovely cooked breakfast with plenty of choice again very well presented.
The landlord Jon was a very likeable man and his sense of humour was on the same wavelength as us ours so he added to our stay. I have read reviews that say he is rude but I suppose you can’t please everyone.
There is ample parking and we toured around the area so the position of this place was ideal for us.
We love informal little places like this far better than big impersonal hotels  and would not hesitate in returning

What a lovely experience we had

My partner and I stayed at the Keepers Arms from the 29th December to 1st January and I couldn’t fault our stay at all. From our arrival Jon and Michelle made us welcome. The rooms were beautifully tidy and well presented, in a perfect village full of lovely walks and friendly locals. Its a short cab ride from Cirencester but if you are looking for a local pub with good food, I’d recommend The Keepers Arms.

Amazing stay over the New Year!

We stayed here for our Anniversary…we were looked after from start to finish. Really friendly staff and a wonderful atmosphere. We booked the Drum & Monkey suite and it is an amazing space. 

We had an amazing meal in the evening, great choice and perfectly prepared. Plentiful choices on the drinks and very reasonably priced. 

Breakfast was excellent served local produce.

Our only regret is that we didn’t stay for more than one night. 

We will be back

Amazing Night

I speak only from my personal experience but, from reading other reviews, clearly I am not the only person to be extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with The Keepers Arms, Quenington. 
Hospitality sector?  It appears the landlord has no understanding of the first word's meaning in his offer of accommodation.
For 'kitchen closed' 'bar closed' read "whole pub completely deserted". 
For 'B&B call these numbers' add "if you are lucky enough to find a mobile connection anywhere in Quenington and if you do actually manage to get through, there'll be an answerphone".  
For 'warm welcome' read "Wait while I pop round on my bike, tell you the code for a locked door and direct you by pointing up some steep narrow stairs - key is in the door of your allotted bedroom, I'm off". Also inferred "Negotiate your own way with your luggage through the picnic tables and chairs impeding your way to the door which gives access to bedrooms but absolutely nowhere else and struggle up the stairs as best you can."
For 'views over the countryside' add "after you've mentally blocked out the outdoor eating area, the adjacent road, parked cars and vans impeding your line of vision".  For 'we are not a noisy pub' read "we shut at 22:30 - tough if that disturbs you, even though the outside tables and road are immediately below your allotted bedroom and there are bound to be alcohol induced decibels and vocal conviviality invading your space during opening times and of course when people leave the premises".  
For 'parking' read "park on the road, if you are lucky, or park if you can in what looks to be a small drive to a private cottage round the corner, unmarked as having anything to do with the pub."  
The 'double' bedroom we were allotted for a four night stay with spaniel, luggage and a requirement to eat breakfast not at table but in uncomfortably somehow in the bedroom, was ridiculously minuscule - unbearable for even a single night.  We turned tail and ran for home but first had to struggle to find a mobile signal and leave a message (couldn’t speak!) with the landlord…
Despite our total and immediate rejection of the inhospitable hospitality, we have been required to pay for the 'privilege' of not having to stay there.  There you go, Mr Easterbrook; enjoy your short term gain in exchange for permanent long term loss of all and any goodwill.

We loved the evening. The landlord welcomed us back after a decade away. Nice ambiance, great service and lovely food.  Well done!!! The tuna salad was particularly nice, and the white chocolate and raspberry blondie was extraordinary. The duck starter was cool too
