Stayed here 2 nights for our little getaway and was pleasantly surprised how comfortable and nice it was. From the outside looks a little rundown but the reception area was decent. Our room (302) was large, comfortable and had all that we needed. The only issue I had was our room was poorly decorated (water stains on ceiling, poor painting really old feeling towels) and needed an upgrade and a few other areas in the hotel. I’m not trying to be picky but as a decorator I do notice these things but it could be so much better with a little upgrade. 
Saying this, we would stay here again as it ideally located to the town centre. Staff were also really good.

Comfortable but……

Just what was needed as a base for a quick visit to family before Christmas. Comfortable and clean room, with underground parking for residents. A good selection of options for breakfast. Central to the area I was visiting, the car stayed put once parked until departure.

Comfortable hotel

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, very quiet in the rooms no noise from other rooms, clean and exactly as described. The breakfast that was included was perfect for my daughter and myself.

Really good stay

Staff were helpful on arrival and also at breakfast. Sadly the room allocated was not up to standard.  The window was broken and was not able to close it.  All around the window was mould.  Mould in the bathroom.  Only there for one night arriving late, otherwise would have tried to find somewhere else.  The management need to review the rooms more frequently.

Needs some upgrade.

Staff were lovely, room large , warm and clean . Large tv . A little tired in places but reflected in the price . Small thing but had to ask for coffee for tray . We were able to book a disabled parking space in the very limited car park which was very difficult to manoeuvre in  , had to pay £10 a night , might not bother next time . Not far from town centre , my husband just about made the walk . A plus is a Wetherspoons just around the corner which was excellent for breakfast so don’t eat in hotel who only do continental now anyway probably because of this . Offered better rate next stay by ringing direct . Will definitely stay again .

Good value

Mark the Manager and James on reception couldn’t  do enough to help me on my 2 recent visits which were to help out with the fund raising in memory of my Son Martin who sadly passed away suddenly aged 40.
 I have health issues and they made sure I was accommodated in a ground floor room close to reception and a good car park space. I use insulin and they kindly stored my spare cartridges in the hotel fridge. Also as it was during the recent heatwave of 31c I needed to freeze my ice packs for my cool bag so as not to ruin my medication and to keep my drinks cool for the journey back to Manchester. 
The hotel is ideally placed for central Cheltenham and close to all places of interest in the town. The room was immaculate and the bed is one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in at a hotel. 
I would recommend this excellent hotel to anybody looking for accommodation in Cheltenham.

Compassionate and Understanding

I think it’s a good functional hotel. Staff were fine and I actually like the continental breakfast. We did have the cooked breakfast on one day but it was nothing to write home about. I agree about the noise late at night. Woken by noisy revellers coming back from a night out and using piddle alley opposite the hotel.
All in all I like the hotel and the quirky pink decor.

Windows closed for a proper sleep.

The hotel itself was ok, clean and friendly staff. Good location,  close to town. Was awoken at 2am by a group of people talking extremely loudly outside the entrance to the hotel. I had to ring down to reception to inform them. They said they would have a word and several minutes later seemed to do the trick. Awoken again at 4.30 by yobs shouting in the street again. So be warned if your at the front if the hotel you'll probably be awoken by noise. Also sliding door to bathroom wasn't the best and the fan was dysfunctional and hadn't been cleaned for I don't know how long. 

Mixed bag

We booked the family room for two nights and we all enjoyed it we were close to the high street and the two men on reception were lovely and helpful .The room was great the bed comfy and everything we needed on our doorstep we would definitely stay again

Great experience

Good value hotel in central Cheltenham. No frills relatively basic but good enough. Best to book well in advance as can be fully booked at the weekend. Underground car park. Great location for central Cheltenham nightlife, bars and restaurants.
