We were looking for somewhere lovely to stay for a weekend trip to Bath and decided to look outside the city and came across Timbers. It worked perfectly - we booked the family suite and the whole experience was great. Jacky and Ray looked after us brilliantly, breakfast was lovely, very useful info in the room regarding local places to visit and also to eat in the evening. A very enjoyable stay, very child friendly and Jacky and Ray were excellent hosts. We are now trying to find excuses to head back to Bath to stay there again!! Would definitely recommend Timbers.

First time staying in a b&b and we could not of asked for better hosts. Very friendly and chatty and make you feel welcome from start to finish. Room was immaculate and breakfast each morning was lovely sitting in the conservatory. Website pictures don’t do the garden justice it’s a great size and really enjoyed sitting out on the gazibo making the most of the sun.

My partner was driving home in terrible conditions and his car broke down.  Snow was heavy and it was 7.30pm when he had to abandon his car.  I phoned the nearest establishment called the red post inn in peasdown St. John who advised they did not do food or rooms and could not wait to get me off the phone.

I searched on google maps and spotted the timbers.  I called and spoke to Jackie who was lovely and friendly and said she had a room and would wait up for him.  

He had a 45 minute walk in heavy snow and I directed him to the timbers.  He got there and Jackie offered to tumble dry his clothes.  The room was warm, spacious and welcoming.

Having turned up unannounced Jackie and her husband Ray were meant to be away to London the next day and could have easily declined me but saved my partner from a night in freezing temperatures as the RAC just could not be reached and road closures meant he could not be reached.

Jackie made him breakfast even though He had said please don’t worry as just so grateful for shelter.  Jackie and Ray also charged us half price for the room.  Amazing hosts, room and kindness.   A genuine and heartfelt thank you for rescuing and welcoming him.  

I stayed by myself at The Timbers. It was fantastic. Warm comfortable and welcoming. I felt safe staying there. It is an excellent B and B. The breakfast is yummy. I recommend this B and B to anyone who wants to stay in the area. If you are attending a wedding at Priston Mill it is a short drive away or a visit to Bath. Thank you Jackie for making my stay wonderful. 

Jacky was on her own the four days we stayed, with her husband ill in hospital, and despite what must have been a worrying time (and a difficult task running a B&B single-handedly), Jacky was absolutely attentive and we had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.  The bedrooms are spotless and Jacky cleaned them each day when we were out.  It was super having two interconnecting rooms as we had our three children with us.  There were plenty of books/, DVDs and games in a cupboard which would have kept us all busy if it had rained.  As it was, we enjoyed four days of dry weather and Jacky was really helpful in giving us some top tips about the places we wanted to visit.  The breakfast each morning was delicious, served promptly and more than enough to satisfy us until lunch.  I would highly rate this B&B!
