We stayed at this B&B overlooking Brixham harbour and had a wonderful time. Right from the very warm welcome, to the fabulous views, the well appointed room and the lovely breakfast, this holiday break was exceptional.
We selected the Bayview room, which is at the top of the property, and has unrivalled views across the harbour. The room has a balcony, with a couple of chairs and a table. Unfortunately we didn’t manage to sit out for long thanks to Storm Kathleen, but it would be perfect on a warm day.
There is a good choice of breakfast options, we tried some different options during our three day stay and each option was delicious and freshly made.
The property comes with safe and secure parking, so it was easy to park and walk down the steps to Brixham. The walk was about 5 minutes and it led to the centre of Brixham. Just be aware that, though the steps aren’t difficult, it may not be appropriate for people with walking difficulties.
Our hosts made us feel very welcome from the outset and gave us some excellent advice on local sites and restaurants. If we return to Brixham, this is where we’ll stay. This was a very favourable and lucky find. I would highly recommend.

Wonderfully warm and well positioned B&B

We had a wonderful 2 night break at Beacon House.  From the warmest of welcomes on arrival, to exceptional breakfasts, we could not fault our stay.  We stayed in the Bay View room  with great views across Brixham, even during Storm Kathleen!  Having a dedicated parking space is a real bonus to come back to when you have been out for the day. Amazing stay

We really enjoyed our stay at Beacon House. The view from the Bay View room is spectacular, looking out over the town, the harbour and the sea. The breakfast is equally special, beautifully presented and delicious. Herve and Nathalie are great hosts, very welcoming and full of helpful advice. Highly recommended!

Review for Beacon House B&B at Brixham

We cannot recommend the Beacon House enough. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality shown buy the owners was amazing and the view of the harbour is the best in Brixham! The breakfast menu was out of this world, and nothing was too much trouble for our hosts.

We will be back.

Wonderful place

Herve and Nathalie greeted us with an arrival drink and chatted with us whilst we relaxed after our drive.  We stayed in Bay View and the views were gorgeous.  The room and the ensuite were a good size, and the balcony was an added bonus.  If you are into stargazing, you'll be able to spot plenty of constellations from the balcony.   The breakfast choices were plentiful, delicious and very filling.  I loved the poached pear with yoghurt and compote, followed by poached eggs.  Herve and Nathalie are very knowledgeable about the area, and Nathalie gave us some good recommendations for walks.  All in all, a relaxing weekend.  Thank you.

The Perfect Weekend

Hervé and Natalie were perfect hosts who gave us a warm welcome on arrival and nothing was too much trouble during our stay.  They were very helpful with honest and informative information regarding places to go and to eat in and around Brixham. We could not fault our room (Bay View) with a panoramic view of the harbour.   It was clean and airy with good quality bedding and towels.  The breakfast was superb and in particular the hake along with the yoghurt with poached pear and raspberry coulis were my favourites.   We have already highly recommended Beacon House to friends and family. It’s definitely one B&B we would love to come back to

The Perfect B&B in Brixham

Our hosts at Beacon House were among the most considerate we’ve ever had. Hervé even offered to give us a ride to one of the restaurants helped us obtain reservations at. The other main reason we would recommend this B&B is the spectacular view of Brixham harbor and town from the balcony of our room. The room itself was a good size, with great bed and modernized bathroom. The delicious breakfasts were cooked to order. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have found this little gem.

Great B&B with fabulous harbor view

This is my fourth visit to Beacon House and it genuinely gets better with each one.  The welsome is as friendly and warm as ever.  Herve and Nathalie could not be more helpful.  Since my last stay they have added balconies to the rooms overlooking the harbour.  You can sit and watch the boats  below and the views are outstanding.  The menu has changed slightly  (fresh poached starwberries with mint and black pepper was a lovely breakfast starter) but the quality remains restaurant standard.  Overall Beacon House boasts beautiful views, excellent location, superb comfort, lovely service and outstanding food.  I will be back - but book well in advance as the few rooms fill quickly!  

The finest B&B in Brixham

We spent a wonderful stay at Beacon House as a family of four in July 2023. Nathalie and Hervé greeted us warmly on arrival with a welcome drink. 

We stayed in the Bay View Room and Beacon Room. Each room has a private balcony overlooking the harbor, the Bay View Room even has a 3.5 m long private balcony. The panoramic views from both rooms are stunning. 

The rooms are furnished with attention to detail and the beds are extremely comfortable. You can make coffee (coffee capsules) or tea in the room, for the girls there was hot chocolate. There is a fridge in the entrance area with free bottles of water for guests.

We loved the great breakfast by Hervé (the French chef in the kitchen), decorated with edible flowers from their garden. It is obvious that Nathalie and Hervé have worked in the hospitality industry for years. Everything is of a very high standard and the hosts are very attentive.

We received lots of tips for exploring the area and restaurant suggestions. Hervé knew all the best restaurants and the best things to order from the menus. The assistance with table reservations at sought-after restaurants was also very welcome and helpful. Many thanks for that.

The free parking right at Beacon House B&B is worth its weight in gold. From Beacon House it is only a few minutes’ walk to the harbour.
