My friend &I have just returned from Harrington House in Bourton on the Water - we had a wonderful time and have to say the staff looked after us so well.Thank you to the manager Julia, Who was professional, kind and helpful… she created a relaxed atmosphere and nothing was to much trouble for her..thank you.
I would like to mention Chris who was a delight and lit up the room with his presence and made sure we all enjoyed our stay… thank you Chris - you are a gem. 
All the lovely waiting on staff were amazing and friendly - you all work so hard and deserve credit for it.
The chef also cooked wonderful food every day - thank you.
Bourton on the water is beautiful and a 2 minute walk into the centre- we were so lucky to stay there.
 Visit Harrington house you will love it.

Had a great weekend with friends on a HF holiday in Bourton on the Water.  Harrington House is a great place to stay and the staff were excellent, especially Claire who really looked after us.  
We had a lovely room (6) and not only walked but enjoyed the local hospitality too.  Thanks to all at Harrington House

HF holiday at Harrington House

The Sussex Sunday Walkers stayed at Harrington House for a long weekend in May 2022. We had a fantastic holiday, Julija, Richard and all the staff were very helpful and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. The food, service and accommodation were all outstanding and I would not hesitate to recommend this HF country house to any walking group looking to organise a self guided holiday.

Group walking holiday

We stayed on an hf walking holiday for 4 nights. It was a brilliant stay. We were in room 6 which is a beautiful room. All staff were pleasant and hard working. The walking guides were excellent. Everyone there was friendly. Food was good and varied. We had a great time and would definitely go back. 

A sociable walking holiday.

This is an HF Holiday hotel - we highly recommend this hotel and the company as a whole. We stayed here last weekend and had a wonderful time because of the relaxing and friendly atmosphere. The staff were welcoming and helpful, the rooms clean and comfortable and the food and service very good. They have guided walks you can join in on, but we decided to use one of their maps/documented routes on our own. The surrounding countryside and villages are beautiful .. many places to explore on foot or in the car.
Highly recommended!

Relaxing atmosphere and great service

Staoyed here for a social gathering - Hotel has a very good central position being a short walk to town centre. Food good at this price point with a very keen and efficient "Geordie" front of house man. Excellent breakfast.

Central position, food good and reasonable value

This is a great place in the centre of Bourton on the Water close to all shops and several cafes and restaurants. I was there on a 3 day walking holiday run by HF Holidays which was extremely well organised. Excellent food and lots of it. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Great location

We were part of a self guided walking group. Very happy with our room and the cleanliness of the hotel. The food was excellent. The hotel staff were very friendly, attentive and efficient. Richard and Hazel, in particular, were outstanding. The hotel location was also ideal for us, being quiet, but at the same time very close to the centre of Bourton.

Walking weekend

Great holiday with Holiday Fellowship.  Excellent dance instructors, comfortable room, friendly staff and good food.  Also a great base for walking and visiting nearby villages and places of interest.  Bourton is a pretty village with a selection of interesting shops.  A stream runs through the village past an old mill which has been converted into a motor museum - well worth a visit

Just back from a 4 night 'Guided Walking' break here. Harrington House is a gem of a building tucked away just off the main drag in Bourton...  Access to the rear car park is narrow but manageable.  We had a 'better' room in Jubilee Cottage (Room 23) which had been recently refurbished.  It was spacious, warm, light (2 windows) and well appointed with new furniture, ample storage and a flat screen TV.  The bathroom was well fitted, although the washbasin was a little small.  Ample hot water and a power shower that was very powerful!  The WiFi signal in the room was very strong and, although others have mentioned the noise, the room was very quiet.  The food and catering was typical HF (who have owned Harrington since 1947) with well cooked food, plenty of it and extreemly friendly staff.  The bar is 'snug' but there are other areas to sit and enjoy the drinks... I imagine in summer the tables/chairs in the garden would be a draw!  It is 2 minute walk into the village.  The organised walks were excelently lead and the boot/drying room did its job!
