What a dive. None of the wall lights worked, tv was broken they spent about an hour bringing different leads backwards and forwards before they gave up and asked if I wanted a tin of coke instead! Very small, dated decor, parking £6 and breakfast was extra as well

The hotel is very run down and in need of a full refurb. It absolutely stinks of greasy fryers, constantly. We were at a trade show at the NEC and arrived back at 1,30am. Still smelled greasy then! Rooms are tiny, damp and unappealing, the floor in room 7 actually bounced by the bathroom doorway it was so rotten. Paint flaking off walls and stains/cracks everywhere as it’s so damp. Bed was ok and sheets and towels were clean. The water and biscuits was a decent touch. Breakfast was basic cheap ingredients deep fried but just bearable. Thin walls so nearly everything can be heard. Paid £100 and really only worth £40 max. If you just need a place to sleep and a quick shower it’s adequate but so depressing. Staff were brusque but not rude but didn’t see a single smile from either. Even they must be depressed by their surroundings. Heating never got warm so there’s a small blow heater to use. Which was ok apart from it made the air so dry. Shame as the surrounding houses are beautiful and you’d think the owners would take some pride in the property. Reminded me of the horrible old bed and breakfasts of the 80s in Devon!

Could be better.

Hotel is clean and tidy, breakfast was fine, pre booked evening meal which was ready as we arrived in the restaurant/ breakfast room,  But although free parking and situated in a good position for NEC, Birmingham or Coventry, will not be staying again. Room was tiny and cramped, shower room door did not open fully and again small, A blow heater was supplied to heat the room, I know there was a lot of rain but entrance had about 2 inch of standing water, with no attempt to do anything about it, When leaving key no one to suppervise there security. Served a purpose for 2 nights, but not value for money

We left our car parked during our holiday and returned for an overnight stay. Checked in late due to flight which had been agreed with owners, welcomed on arrival and shown straight to our room.Comfortable room with all you need for an overnight stay & breakfast was fine. Will use again if we fly from Birmingham.

Excellent Location for Airport

Where do l start! Car park small and full. Useless  person behind the desk, the bar isn't open, ,no evening meal, no we aren't going to recommend any where else to eat,.Didn't bring the proverbial 'cat',cause l couldn't have swung it  in the room. Stayed 2 nights,but tea coffee and biscuits only allowed on first night!.  Didn't empty bins or change sheets,did do towels to be fair. We had a dog so a bit desperate. Breakfast ok,but could smell frying all through the 'hotel' Tried to leave keys for room,but no one there,so left them on counter. Avoid!

Stay away

Booked this b&b as it was near to NEC. Read previous mixed reviews but prepared to give it a try with open mind. It was clean and food was Ok, but the room was the tiniest I have ever been in. I'm average build and had to manoeuvre to sit on the loo! We had to take it in turns to move in bed it was so small. Customer service was not high on owners priority list.
Served a purpose bit next time will pay more for a better place or do the length journey in one day.

Never Again

Excellent value. Warm greeting, clean room with all that was needed with teas, coffees, chocolate drinks and biscuits, shower a good temperature, so quiet, parking no problem. Can’t understand the nasty review I’d strongly recommend this based on its price and reasonable quality. The breakfast was cooked well. Spotlessly clean.

Overnight stay

My friend and I stayed here while we were visiting an expo for 2 days at the NEC. The gentleman who worked here is a lovely man who make sure you have everything you need and advice for local area (food,shops, etc). In the evening of our stay he quoted “we do a great breakfast in the morning” he was not wrong very basic breakfast but very well cooked and again very well looked after. The beds were comfortable allowing us a lovely nights sleep, few issues with remote not working but for the less lazy people the buttons on the tv were easy to use. Overall a fantastic stay and would definitely recommended and stay again! 

Overnight NEC Visit

Hotel should be reported. Bare wires in the room, Mould around windows.  Dirty floor and sink was in room as bathroom not big enough to accommodate. We were booked for 5 nights but after seeing the room we left after 5 minutes and booked in Holiday Inn instead. Hotel still charged full booking price. Had friends joining us and immediately told them to rebook elsewhere. Avoid at all costs there are far superior hotels for the same price. Shocking!!!

Disgusting. Avoid

Stayed for 1 night as we were attending a concert at the Genting Arena. Excellent location for the trip, bus stop outside the hotel straight to the Arena, the one and only member of staff that we encountered was very helpful in helping us to get around. He gave us a map and information on the bus numbers and Stops. The room was warm and clean and comfy, I was impressed by the drapes, very classy throughout the public areas, the full English breakfast was also good, would stay again if needed and recommend it for a short stay.
