Xanthos Boutique Hotel Patara

Truly wonderful hotel, unsophisticated in an unsophisticated area. Soooooo quet!!! Set in a lovely garden overlooking the valley and the sea. Staff were 5 star - all amazing. Food was the best we had anywhere in the area, simple but perfectly done. Breakfast buffet endless. The immaculately clean pool is large for the size of hotel, which allows plenty of sun beds around it (all with parasols for those seeking shade). There is pleasant, sympathetic lighting around the pool and garden at night, which adds to the ambience of the hotel in the evening. Note it is a steep little hill down to the village, a shortcut can be taken down the steps in the Dolphin Hotel. The tortoises and chickens in the garden were delightful. Some mosquitoes but not over-whelming (we didn't use any repellent).
