The Anantara is one of the best hotels I have stayed in, from the moment I arrived (to be greeted by Rocky the parrot - a highlight!) I felt like I was in a relaxing sanctuary. The groups are beautiful and full of greenery, they are very soothing to walk around. Everyone was incredible, especially Alex who has the best job title in the world - User Experience Guru! The Loy Nam poolside bar is a delight - everyone is amazing and they make a cracking mojito! Definitely try the Baan Thalia Italian restaurant - the food is absolutely delicious and it is a stunning design. The pool is enormous and never felt too busy. There is a shuttle bus into town which was very handy. Outside the hotel there are a few cafes and a great 7-11 that is very well stocked. Try cafe 25 Monday which makes delicious frappes. I had one of the most relaxing weeks ever. Thank you - room 630!
