We had a disapointing experience with this property. We booked for one room months in advance and got comfirmation from the property and we were ready and set to enjoy our christmas holiday. On our way there, we called to ask for directions and that’s when we were hit with disapointing new about how they don’t have a room for us and they told us that they overbooked and they can’t accomodate us. I spoke to the guy on the phone who said they have problems with their website but then offered no help. I tried to reach out to them via whatsapp but my message was blueticked and ignored. Because of their poor communication and over booking we ended up staying at an expensive place which we had not planned for and that costed us more money. I would definetly not recomend this place even if it was thelast option.

Poor Communication, Overbooking and Poor management skills

Highly recommended, lovely guesthouse with Dude arranging everything. Like dinner at Alis Place. (in his banana garden) Dolphin tour - Snorkeling Tour - Taxi to/from Stone Town, Walk around the village of Jambini, making lovely breakfast with warm bread, eggs and fruit (papaya, mango,melon and passions fruits). Lovely terrase outside.Ok beds with mosquito net. Own personal bathroom together with the bedroom.Close to restaurants on the beach for both wifi, lunch and dinner. Cannot wait to come back:) 

Heaven Can Wait

Very nice place to stay: Peaceful and very close to the stunning sea. Dudes is a perfect host and the breakfast is amazing. The rooms are huge and there is a nice living room and a wonderfull garden to relax. Very good value for the price, highly recommended!

Amazing place to stay

The best place we stayed at while in Tanzania. The host is super friendly and makes the best breakfast! The hotel is right on the beach, where there are plenty of restaurants and bars. There was even yoga at the hotel next door, which we could join. There's also a dive center right down the beach. Such a relaxing and gorgeous place!

Great stay

We rented the whole house for two weeks for our family holiday. We had our two 1-year old children with us, so we stayed around Jambiani and the house quite a lot. First of all: Jambiani is an amazing little place. Totally chilled out, and just the right mix between being not too touristy and still 
offering everything you'd need (several good restaurants, small kiosks and souvenir/craft shops). Dude's guesthouse was the perfect base for us. We didn't need anything fancy, just a chilled out place with all the basics. We really enjoyed the enclosed private garden where the children could play and we could get lots of massages from the local woman. We also spent a lot of time on the terrace just relaxing and eating breakfast or take-away dinner (any of the restaurants will do take away if you bring your own plates) 
It was a big plus to have a fully equipped kitchen too, when travelling with children. All the rooms were good and beds had mosquito nets. Dude sprayed the rooms for us too at night. Besides cooking breakfast for us every morning he arranged a fantastic boat /snorkelling trip and several taxi rides. He also gave us advice on restaurants and got us diapers and mosquito repellent when we needed it (if possible, ask a local, a Masai or your host to buy essentials for you, they can get it at a much much lower price)
We got wifi from Uhuru, which is the hotel/bar/restaurant placed in-between Dude's and the sea. We spent a lot of time there too, they have yoga classes and the friendliest Masai you'll ever meet (Armani).
I can definitely recommend staying at Dude's, we loved it!

Amazing place

Dudes Guesthouse feels like you are staying at a friends house. The host (Dude) has a few rooms in his beautiful house which just a few metres away from a beautiful private beach. The breakfast Dude prepares every morning at around 8 or 9 was so tasty and fresh (if you are lucky he will make amazing french toast :) 

This place is very chilled and around 15 minutes drive away from the busy Paje beach. The private beach which Dude's guest can use anytime belongs to a beautiful little resort which has amazing dinner and a cute beach bar. We spend 3 lovely days and nights here and really enjoyed it. 

The rooms are very basic but cosy and clean. Don't expect any luxury or hotel standard here. 

Make sure you follow the Uhuru signs when you look for Dude Guesthouse otherwise you will get a bit lost as we did on our first night.
