This is not the cheapest place we stayed at for our trip to Taiwan, but it ranks at the lower end for quality. The beds are so incredibly hard that it was impossible for my girlfriend and me to get any decent sleep. You can't even lay on your back for long on these beds, so sleep is like being on a rotisserie, 5 minutes per side and then you have to turn because of pain.

The showers had hot water. The room we were given had mold on the walls, moldy curtains and the view was looking at brick wall. The deal came with breakfast, but when we got there in the morning we were given packaged-to-go egg and bacon sandwiches and pre-sweetened black coffee. There was no offerings of other food, not even cream for the coffee.

On the positive side I'd say the person at the counter was friendly and helped us find a parking spot for the car. He did not speak any English but we managed with Google translate. Location is good too, although this was not a factor in our decision for the place.

Given the rather expensive price we paid versus the quality we received, I can't offer a recommendation.

Unbelievably hard beds

Location is 👍😊 compared to zhuizhe ferry terminal.
5 mins away ita thao ferry terminal.
I love this location coz it is a small village with a few streets, beautiful view of sun moon lake, small restaurants, food stalls and retail shops.

Rest & relax

This is a b&b style accommodation. The lake view room comes with amazing view over looking the Sun Moon lake. Room is spacious and comfortable. It will be better if there is more table and chairs in the room that we can just sit in front of window and enjoy the view.

Beautiful lake view

This hotel is more like a home stay than a hotel. It is very close to Ita Thao pier so that after you arrive at Sun Moon Lake area, you could take a ferry to reach the hotel directly. Staff were very helpful and attentive. They do not provide 24 hours check-in service but you could contact them via mobile phone. They also gave us a map which was very helpful to browse the food and local area. The room was very spacious and well-decorated. You could also took a peek at the pier and saw the sun rise as well. They also provided free hot and cold water. One disadvantage is that this place do not have any lifts so be prepared to lift your luggage all the way up.

Very friendly staff by the pier

This is a lovely little hotel very handy to the Ita Thao pier. Rooms at the front of the hotel would have a magnificent view of the lake - we were at the side so we had to lean out the window a bit, but it was still lovely. We only stayed one night - should have planned an extra day here to explore around the lake properly.
