Very specious rooms, so clean!
The owner is super nice, and helps with whatever you need.
They have free bikes that you can take to go around the city.
Location was great for us- close to the park (2 min ride) and about 10 min from all the rest:)
Price is super reasonable.
 

Great great stay!

First to the dodginess of this place. During the day of arrival I've received two emails asking when would we arrive. During the day of arrival, not a day before. So I wasn't able to read that email until I actually arrived to the hotel. Probably if we were to arrive a bit later, there would be no-one to accommodate us. Other strange thing, from what so ever reason they asked me to give them a PIN to my booking, so they can cancel my stay at the booking site. I pretended to not have this, being afraid that I would pay twice, at the hotel and then because of a no-show. Also, there was no staff the next morning and after noon.
But this dodginess aside, room was nice with great bath/shower room. Hotel is located a bit far from the city center, but it is close to the forest park area and there are few bicycles to rent. (for free!)

Nice but a bit dodgy

The bnb is quite easy to find as Taitung city roads are quite clear cut.  We booked a quad room.

Pros: The room is huge and clean towels. The furnishing of the whole house looks very new.  Coffee and tea for guests in the living room downstairs. Fridge available for use, too.  Free use of bicycles and we utilised it to go to the beautiful Taitung Forest Park which is only a few streets away.  Not much traffic on the road either.  The night market is also nearby.  Upon check in, owner gave us a map of the area and kindly  recommended places to go. The room has a balcony view to the street. Parking is easily found at the roadside.

Cons: Found strand of hair on the pillow and pillow smell of hair cream.  Wondering if the cases and sheets were replaced since last guest.  The sheets were printed so not able to tell.

Good lodging

Enjoyed this b&b very much.  The owner wasn't there but was so helpful (in English) over the phone, and checked in on us often.  We had the bikes from the b&b and toured around a lot.  Rooms were large and very clean and comfortable.  Good coffee from the machine in the morning too! owner also booked the cab to take us to the ferry terminal.  Would highly recommend.

Great location, helpful staff, clean accommodation!

We stayed at this B&B because it was difficult to find a room in Taitung over the national day holiday and it had no reviews on trip advisor or other websites so we were a bit unsure about booking it. We were surprised how good this place was, the room was large, modern and spotlessly clean, better than many of the 3 star hotels we stayed in.

The owner spoke perfect English having lived the USA for about 20 years. He was very enthusiastic about the city and gave us lots of advice on where to eat etc. The B&B also has bikes that are free for guests to use and are a great way of getting around the city. For example you can ride to the main night market from the B&B in about 5 minutes.
