1 reviewThis place offers something a little different from your regular lodgings. The rooms are in century-old traditional Minnan (Southern Fujian) style. They have been tastefully restored and will appeal to people with an interest in Chinese architecture and history. The inn is situated in a part of the island where the original settlement was located and there are some historical earthworks and minor monuments thereabouts. It is actually much closer to the port than Jincheng, the main town on the island, though you can reach the town for around $180 (NTD) in a taxi. There isn't any food out here, however. Bring some noodle cups! The owner doesn't speak English, but she helps as much as she can. If arriving at odd hours ring ahead though, as this is a small place and the office won't be staffed after sundown.
