Zum Adler Castle B&B

We found this place by accident and were frankly surprised by our wonderful experiences while staying at Zum Adler Castle B&B. The owners (Bernie and Grace) certainly have a great story to tell about the castle they built in a nice and quiet countryside located in Jiaoxi, Yilan of Taiwan. But, if you are looking for authentic schweinshaxe in Taiwan, look no further than the ones served at Zum Adler Castle B&B, which is by far the best schweinshaxe we have had outside of Europe. While most B&Bs serve breads and juices readily available from grocery stores, we were so appreciative that Bernie got up way before 7am to prepare “homemade” breakfast and serve them right out of stove and oven for everyone. Instead of being a hotel owner, Grace is more like a mom taking care of her kids on every single detail about the food she serves and the room she prepares.
