Just an hour away from Bern, a family hotel with a unique view of the Alps on one side and the Jura on the other. The upscale hotelier enjoys entertaining his guests with a blues handkerchief. The hotel rooms are well-kept and spacious. The guest can also relax in a sauna. My children like to play on the playground.

Owner-run hotel in excellent location. We got off at the hotel Bärnsicht during our hike from Napf towards Emmenmatt  Moosegg. Due to the very bad weather, we were the only guests in the house. The owner took care of us blamelessly. Due to the reduced operation (corona/weather) we were able to get a limited picture of the quality, especially of the restaurant. The rooms, bathroom and beds had hardly a very good substance and we slept very well. The house definitely has the potential for top accommodation. Due to the excellent location the restaurant has a very positive outlook on the quality of the weekends, which is likely to have a very positive effect on our location.

The staff is overwhelmed with a few guests on the terrace. Half an hour waiting until you can order.

Service is overwhelmed

We went on a trip and wanted to eat lunch. After a long wait, finally an unfriendly waitress came and put the menu on the table with a grumpy and ugly way. Without asking us what we wanted to drink, she cleared the two previous dishes and left again. Although we were the only guests in the restaurant, (there were some people on the terrace, but not much) we waited for over 10 minutes and still couldn't drink anything and not place an order. We felt we weren't welcome at all. So we decided to get up and leave the unfriendly and poorly restaurant as quickly as possible. So we never felt him.

A short visit!!!

Despite my differing opinions about the place, I chose it for my annual full moon snowshoe tour - just after I was very convinced of this during a reconnaissance visit with Mrs. Diemann. When we arrived as a small group late at night, we were able to enjoy the recommended meals at the restaurant and even the Burgdorfer beer we recommended and desired.

Bear sight - repeating

It's a very nice hotel with a great view, great service and delicious food... don't understand the bad reviews because of the long wait times. It's a restaurant and not a food court. You should just take some time to get in here, because just on the weekend the terrace is full of cracks and the staff also only have two legs and two hands.

This is a great hotel/restaurant.

This afternoon, about 1400 h, I visited the Lüderenalp/Bärgsee with 3 vacation guests from Germany. I was very impressed by the Ganzen Drum and Dran. That is, the service, the very good food and the excellent price/performance ratio. This given that the terrace was very well occupied. My friends from Germany were also very enthusiastic.

What a wonderful experience

We wanted to have a drink, but unfortunately we were not served. When we asked, we were eaten very unfriendly, we weren't the only ones waiting. The aging and slow staff were totally overwhelmed and unfriendly. Unfortunately, they don't come anymore. Too bad, it wasn't like that before. At least the view is recommended.

Shame on the nice hotel.

The location of this hotel, on top of the mountain/hill, is outstanding. Whatever side of the hotel your room is located you have an unobstructed view of the Alps. Magnificent. The rooms are very nice and clean. The bathroom is also very clean and, for Switzerland, nice size. The service at the hotel is exceptional. The food at the restaurant is first class and the service the same (Robert a trained waiter of the old school).

Hotel with a view... and service!

Extraordinary situation, you never get tired of the view. Large room very nice, obviously preferably side  mountain . On the other hand, ordinary cuisine. Very good meat but the rest... industrial fries, tasteless vegetables, salad buffet  in a box ... Too bad because with a little effort, it could be very good and in line with the panorama. Very nice staff. Price a little expensive. But well, the panorama is worth it:-)
