Friendly staff and good location. However, there are several hotels in Davos that at the same price offer rooms with bathrooms included (not in common) and with sauna/restaurant still in service despite the pandemic situation. I wouldn't recommend it.

At the same price you can get better!

This can be a cheap option for those who like to plan their skiing trips with some months up front. 

Rooms are clean (some of them have a balcony with views to the mountains). There is a sink inside the room but the bathrooms are outside. Breakfast is basic (bread, ham, cheese, coffee, cereals and orange juice). There is a free shuttle that from/to Jakobshorn station. Parking places are available for extra 20 Chf.

They have a storage room for ski material.

Very close to the main road (bus stop), aprés ski places and a Coop.

Staff is friendly and helpful.

Nice cheap hostel for a Skiing weekend

I stayed at St. Josephshaus for a 3 day weekend, squeezed in during a business trip to Europe.  The location is very central - a 5 minute walk from the train station, although it is uphill and can be slippery in the winter.  The rooms are comfortable, nothing fancy with shared shower/bath/toilet facilities in the hallway, that are generally co-ed but for some reason during the Saturday & Sunday of my stay were designated by sex.  The breakfast is nothing special, no hot food, but enough to get you going for a day on the amazing ski slopes of the Davos-Klosters region.  A single room for 3 nights plus 2 days of skiing (heavily discounted when bought at the hotel as part of the accommodation) plus a bus pass was very reasonable for a very expensive Swiss ski town.  I would definitely recommend if you're looking for affordability and not luxury. 

Nothing fancy, but comfortable and affordable!

I booked to stay at this hotel and unfortunately due to unforeseen reasons had to cancel the reservation.  The cancellation policy clearly states that a cancellation fee will only be charged "if the room is not resold".  I was optimistic that as I had cancelled over three weeks in advance of my scheduled stay, the (single) room would be resold.  In fact, I checked several popular hotel booking sites in the week leading up to my cancelled stay which confirmed that the hotel was nearly sold old with limited rooms available.
Imagine my utter surprise to be bombarded with rude and threatening emails from Madeleine [--] at Moutain Hotels demanding payment of the cancellation fee days BEFORE my scheduled stay!  I politely explained that the cancellation policy was that a fee would only be charged "if the room is not resold" and explained that I had seen that the hotel had very nearly sold out so was hopeful that the room would in fact be resold and hence a cancellation fee would not fall due.  Madeleine told me that the room will never be resold as for cancellation purposes they do not limit the remit of the cancellation policy to rooms in the hotel which I reserved (St Josephshaus), but ALL ROOMS IN THE WHOLE MOUNTAIN HOTELS GROUP!  i.e. an honest customer's chance of ever cancelling without having to pay a fee is never going to happen!!  
I consider this to be completely unfair cancellation policy and the wording of the policy itself does not reflect the approach which Mountain Hotels adopt (i.e. rooms in the hotel, not the entire Mountain Hotels group!!)  I not only had to pay for the room, but also the ski pass!!
I consider the cancellation policy to be a complete sham and the approach of Madeleine [--] to be wholly offhand.
I will NEVER EVER stay at a Mountain Hotels group hotel EVER AGAIN!  and I would advise others to learn from my lesson and follow suit.

St.Josephshaus is in a great location - just 5 minute walk from the main train-station and 6-7 minute walk from one of the main gondola/chairlift (Jakobshorn).

It is also a 3 minute walk to the main town centre and bus stops.
There are several large lifts/gondola's within 10 minutes bus ride from the main town centre.

The rooms are clean and spacious (no bunk beds), with a sink and mirror.
Showers and toilets are shared, but it's not so bad because everything is clean.
There is also a sauna.

Breakfast consists of: Ham, Cheese, Bread, Muesli, Corn Flakes, Yogurt, Tea, Coffee.
There is no hot food.

There is a secure ski/snowboard lock-up room. You need a keycard to access the room.

From Sunday to Thursday - the hotel is very quiet, with very few guests.
However - on Friday & Saturday nights it gets busy and noisy with live & loud music playing.
If you are staying here I would recommend asking for a room that is away from the party areas.

Overall I am happy with the hotel, and would stay here again.
It is good value compared to other hotels in Davos. There are very few options in this price range in Davos.
