What you see is what you get at Neo Bay and that’s the kind of humble approach that makes the hotel and its owner Samith a success. You can’t beat the location of this hotel, it’s just across the street from a safe surf spot and the lovely ocean. The restaurant wasn’t open, but Samith recommended all the best places to enjoy a meal on every budget level. 
The rooms on the lower level are clean and spacious with good water pressure from the shower. The beds come with a helpful mosquito net, but as long as the doors and windows stay closed, this is hardly needed. 
The upper level room, has a nice sitting area that overlooks the ocean. 
Traveling alone in your home country should be a safe and joyful experience and with friendly people like Samith, this is easy to accomplish. 
Highly recommended. 

Comfortable room and super location 

The rooms in Neo bay are very comfortable, clean, with air con and also mosquito nets which is great. The room has terrace also to sit outside. Great location 1 min walk from the beach and surfing schools. Very very helpful host! 

Enjoyable stay

Nice cozy hotel near the ocean. The hotel owner Sumith was very friendly and pleasant. We booked for different rooms with A/C. All rooms were clean. Also, Sumith helped us to take bikes.
Really good place in Weligama! 

Sri Lanka trip 2021

This hotel is just brilliant.

Nimesh and all the staff there went above and beyond to help us with absolutely everything. They are so nice and genuine and really care about you having a good! So much so that we came back a second time.

The first time we stayed in one of the rooms which was lovely and modern. Great ac shower bed etc....

The second time we stayed in the cabana and it was gorgeous. Really spacious and comfy! There were monkeys outside our room this morning as well!

Also side note, the food is awesome, we had the breakfast every morning, and I had lunch and dinner there a few times!

Nice to have a few drinks in too!

The best stay we’ve had in Sri Lanka 

I stayed 4 nights and came back because everything was perfect to my expectations. Nice room and beach across the road. Very good WiFi and ac. Staff nice and helpful. I was sick and they took me to doctor. Loved the hotel and Weligama 

Nice place and location 

I stayed here for 7 days and it was the best hotel I was in.
The team of the hotel so generous and kind, and I enjoyed just to seat and talk with them.
The location is the best, on the sea and in the center.
Highly recommended to stay here.

Amazing place, the best location

We stayed here for about two weeks and will definitely go back. The staff were extremely hospitable and accommodating to our needs. Their food was delicious and it is right across from the beach. The wood cabins are beautiful and really clean and had fantastic air conditioning too.

Fantastic location and great hosts

We were in Weligama only a couple of days but were happy to find this nice place on the beach. Clean rooms, fantastic breakfast and amazing people. Ask for the delicious fruit juice (really yummy)! Many surfing opportunities and a great selection of restaurants close to the hotel. The staff made us feel right at home (great meeting you Thushan, Boby and Chamara) and after a long day we enjoyed a drink on the patio of the restaurant. Thank you Nimesh (the manager) for taking us to Hikkaduwa and showing us the Galle fort on the way! We hope to be back soon.

Great location!

This was a beautiful hotel our rooms were wooden with air-conditioning and great insect nets.  We stayed for two nights and had SriLanken breakfast each morning - it was delicious.  We loved the closeness to the beach, and the super friendly staff.

Had a blast

Lovely rooms in log cabin design with great hot showers and huge beds with mosquito netting. 

Amazing Sri Lanka breakfast (ask for it,  it doesn't appear on menu) and friendliest staff.  

Good position metres from beach and. Quick walk to bus service and town centre. We. 

Make sure.to add your travel dates and food recommendations to their dining wall. We had a lot of fun reading them!! 

Could have definitely stayed longer I was sad to leave.
