Never seen such a filthy place charging $70 per night. This is totally a rip off. 

Our was not cleaned at all. Dead flies near window and smashed bloody mosquitos on to wall about 50 of them!!! Room smell damp. There were no covers for smelly blanket provided. 

Photos are not reflecting reality at all. 

All stuff says they will advise manager but doubt they care about it!

Avoid this place like plague!!

Disgusting avoid at all cost

The only thing about the hotel is the view.
First of the reality is so much different than it is shown on picture on booking website.
The room was not clean, with a lot of dead flies on the ground. There is no shower cabinet in yhe bathroom, we did not even have shower. 
The pink blanket does not seem to clean to me. 
Just stayed one night left the hotel early in the morning.
We paid 70$ so much expensive indeed!!

The pictures on the internet are great, and the description of amenities impressive.  Reality was different.

It was hard to find this place even with Google Maps.  There was no sign or house number, and the road was very steep and narrow.  Once there, we were cheerfully greeted into what turns out to be only a four-five bedroom facility.

We got a loft room where the main wall displayed at least two dozen smashed mosquitoes.  I suppose the mandate of cleaning staff does not include the walls--or the windows for that matter.

The TV was "on repair" and there was no sign of the CD/DVD player, telephone, hairdryer, bidet, etc. as advertised.  Parts of the room description obviously pertained to the entire house, not the room, but a clear separation should have been done to set expectations right.

The shower worked if hand-held, but it was not walled in which made the entire bathroom floor wet.  To be fair, we were offered to switch to another room with a better shower, but its only window was next to parked cars.  The main benefit of our room was the view.

What saved the situation was the friendly staff--especially Ravi--who made every effort to provide good service, including breakfast.  We enjoyed the nice view of the lake from the breakfast room.  While nothing was served beyond that, it was OK to bring in a bottle of wine and some crackers for an evening snack.

For the price we paid, about USD142 per night, I expected better.

Not as advertised, overpriced, but friendly staff

we were 5 young men and we choose this resort for 1 night in nuwara eliya , that is very comfortable , very clean , very friendly owner and helpful staff, every thing was very good , i will try it one more time if i come to srilanka , it has a very picturesque view to the lake.

very good accomodation

This inn sits up on the hill overlooking Lake Gregory but it seems like it was a house poorly converted into an Inn.  Although we had a reservation, the staff seemed very confused when we arrived and wasn't sure about our accommodations.  After some discussion with our driver, we were given the room in what seemed like the attic.  There were no amenities aside from a tiny bar of soap and three packets (like free samples are given in) of dandruff shampoo -- an odd choice! The breakfast was included and offered good eggs, toast, yogurt and a banana but no fresh milk for coffee or tea ( powdered creamer packets). You can walk down to the lake but otherwise there is not anything within walking distance and there is no dinner provided, so you need your driver or car to have dinner off-site. There didn't appear to be many hotels, but there were some other, larger properties in town.
