What an amazing family to share some time with! Brian, his wife Samanthi and daughter Binuri in particular do everything within their capacity to understand and meet our needs as visitors to Sri Lanka and Anuradhapura in particular. Samanthi and Binuri are the gentlest ladies. Binuri speaks excellent English. Brian makes sure that we get the best taxi (tuc-tuc) services and the best tourguides in town for a good price. The house is clean, the beds comfortable, and the food excellent. Much of the food is home-grown and all food is home-made. Wauw. And Samanthi makes the best cups of tea! Definitely recommended!

The best services in town

Rooms are exactly like advertised.
Family is very friendly and helpful.
If you want some help with a guided tour or anything they'll arrange it perfectly. To be fair, chances are that you pay a little more than when you hustle down the street but you get service and they don't look at their clock when driving you around.

But the reason I would recommend this place so much is the food. The lady of the house is a real good cook. She's very modest about it but I can assure you everything she makes is super fresh and tasted amazing. Don't miss her curry platters, I'm pretty sure no restaurant can't tip her level. 

Friendly, kind and awesome food

One of the best homestays during our 2.5 weeks trip throughout Sri Lanka. Amazing hospitality from the owner and his sweet family. No words would be enough to express how great our stay was.
Everything was top notch. Comfortable and clean room, awesome garden, DELICIOUS home cooked Sri Lankan food (really, both breakfasts and dinner were to die for, make sure you order dinner and eat here, very tasty).
Great flexibility for check-in, check-out, breakfast and dinner time. We were on a tight schedule and this was just super convenient. If I ever return to Anuradhapura, this is the only place to stay.
The only thing I did not like is that our stay at this wonderful place was too short...

Unforgettable stay, highly recommended

What a wonderful stay from the moment we arrived to the day we left. Brian and his lovely family could not do enough for us. Brain was an excellent guide one evening taking us to the Bodhi tree and temple complex, a privileged experience.
A bird watchers paradise in their extensive back garden.
The room and ensuite were large, spotless and very well finished.
A good location for the town.
We ate breakfast and dinner for both nights at The Green Palace. Excellent local Sri Lankan home cooked food at a fantastic price. 
A must if staying in Anuradhapura

An oasis of calm

The host and his family couldn't do enough for us. Bikes were ready to rent cheaply for an invigorating yet comfortable ride straight to the temples. Eat here! We got a fantastic meal with banana flower and some exotic vegetables from the back garden. Best yet!

Home away from home

I spent one night in this beautiful homestay! Such a lovely family and so helpful. The house is very clean and you have a big room with ac!! I recommend this place if you visit Anuradhapura or around!
