I had a pleasant holiday at Morna home, surrounded by a natural environment you can enjoy a quiet and relax time in Ibiza. Sonia and her family were very kind, her dad surprised me every morning with different treats from his garden, like grapes, eggs and fresh figs :) 
Las dalias, a traditional market in Ibiza is just around the corner and stunning beaches just 15 min driving. 

I went for relaxing few days with a friend who booked Morna through a personal recommendation.

We shared a lovely spacious room with a pretty bathroom and verandah. The location of the finca is rural, and yet just a short drive to everything you need.

Simon was very helpful with any questions we had for him, before and during our stay.

The pool was refreshing and clean and the other staff we met were charming, as was Potter the gorgeous dog. 

I mistakenly left a piece of jewellery behind and Simon and his team recovered it and returned it to me which made me very happy as it was very special to me.

We really hope to visit again this coming summer.

Agroturismo Morna is rural and rustic. Its not 5 star luxury (its early days, in its 1st season) but it has a charm all of its own.
 Its a very friendly place to stay and if you wish you can feel very much a part of the house and Ibizan life.
I stayed in October and found Simon and staff very helpful indeed, they were more than happy to offer advice on where to go and what to see and do .
Whilst currently there is no restaurant as such, Simon / Cook Ibiza can at short notice cater at the house for any eating needs, providing excellent locally sourced food at reasonable prices, or of course you can cater for your self , its entirely up to you.
Given its rural location its probably desirable to have your own transport , there are number of excellent beaches and places to go quite close by (indeed the whole of Ibiza itself is not that big)
 However if you fancy a walk its only 15 mins to the small charming village of Sant Carles where there are a few decent restaurants and the legendary Anita's Bar, famed as an original hippy haunt in the 60s and still retains a slight bohemian feel today.
Pet lovers will love the house dog, she's very friendly and good with children.
All in all a great place to relax in lovely surroundings ,

Pleasant holiday! 

Friendly, laid back, lovely setting

A beautiful and special place

I have held off on writing this review because I really wanted to give the owner Simon a chance to resolve the issues we had with our stay. However 8 months have gone by and I have realised he has no intention of honouring our agreement... In fact he has stopped replying to my emails. I feel I should warn others who may be considering staying here.

Simon was a very helpful and enthusiastic host having recently opened the Agroturismo Morna. It was clearly pretty rustic which we were fine with, however the basic room and facilities did not justify the €120 a night we were charged upfront to secure the booking.

The problem was that the place was not clean, and did not even have basic facilities. The pool was filthy and there was a (friendly) dog running in and out of our room. 

We could of course have lived with this (but have felt ripped off throughout our holiday!) but we had our 4 month old with us. We told Simon we were bringing the baby which he said was absolutely fine. However the cot we were given was filthy, the pool was full of bugs and dirt, there was no bath available and the bathroom was really unpleasant.. Very difficult with a baby, especially as I have MS so am very wobbly on my feet even at the best of times. Showering in a dark and dingy bathroom while holding a tiny baby was not exactly relaxing!

After the first night my partner had a word with Simon who was great. He actually really took it well and said he completely understood - he just wasn't quite set up for such a young baby. He agreed to refund us 70% of the total for our stay which we felt was fair. We were so relieved and found somewhere nearby (which was the same price but MUCH more luxurious with a beautiful pool and spotless room that was cleaned daily). 

We returned to the UK and I contacted Simon by email, he promised to refund the money as soon as he possibly could. A couple of months a few more reminders later he was still saying he'd pay us back when he had the funds.

He then stopped replying to emails (still no refund) and I think he intends to keep our money despite what he has promised. Needless to say we are gutted! This is a terrible way to treat your customers.



Very upsetting experience

I don't like to write a bad review, but I feel I have to. We stayed for 10 nights in August. We were hoping for a small, peaceful and relaxed finca in the countrysidet with a pool and good cooking. We were not expecting luxury, but a newly renovated tasteful retreat after reading a good review in the Conde Nast Traveller.

However, the reality was awful. The place has potential and the host is a nice guy. But he has NO clue how to run a boutique hotel or even provide a basic service. The place is dirty (the poolside sun beds were unusable, the room wasn't cleaned properly, the bed sheets had holes in them from cigarette butts and the towels smelled musty). There were no toiletries. The bedsheets and towels were not changed once during our stay! We asked for laundry to be washed a couple of days after we arrived and on the day of departure we hadn't received it back. Instead the owner barely managed to find the laundry and it was still dirty!

Worst of all, the electricity wasn't earthed properly and we were continuously given strong electric shocks when coming near any of the electric sockets. That isn't acceptable when staying with a 5 month old baby and we constantly feared for her safety.

It meant that we couldn't spend any time at the property apart from nighttime and resulted in a very unrelaxed stay. 

I hate to say that Simon is probably not equipped to provide a better service. I wouldn't stay again unless the place changed ownership or he employed a more experienced general manager to run the place.

I feel sorry for this review and wish Simon the best of luck for his future endevours. Unfortunately runnig a agroturismo isn't his calling.
