Nice hotel, but gets three stars because it does not earn the 5 star or leading hotels of the world designation. 

Lack of service across the board, lack of quality amenities in the room, breakfast feels like a cafeteria, you only get one pool towel per person in exchange for a chip, water circuit in spa area 40 euro surcharge, nobody puts up a parasol for you, half the cushions at the pool are stained, artificial grass covered in food chips and other garbage, pool right next to main road - so noisy. 

The deluxe room had the tiniest window and was so white inside it resembled a hospital ward, low water pressure in awkward shower cabin. Bikes charged at 15 euros for four hours.

We had an adequate stay, will not be returning.

Our second visit and we were not disappointed....the same high standards and welcoming atmosphere. Again the evening meal we had was fantastic and beautifully presented, but had difficulty finishing he the four homemade desserts served......

Another lovely stay at El Palacio

My friend and I stayed here and it was brilliant,  he cannot do enough for his guests and was chatty and friendly. The room was spotless with our own terrace and the bed was so comfortable! If your a couple wanting a retreat for a few days go!!

This is a very professionally run b&b with beautiful sea views. There is ample outdoor space to enjoy the sun and the pool or cooling sea breezes. Breakfast and optional evening
meals are generous, varied and absolutely delicious. There's just the right balance of thoughtful touches and relaxed atmosphere. The road is steep but parking isn't a problem so long as you trust your hand break! Definitely a place you'd want to go back to.

An oasis of calm on the Costa del Sol

Potential guests at this establishment should know that it is not an hotel but a guest house.  It is very difficult to find which is compounded by the fact that in March 2014 there was no sign to indicate it was a guest house or indeed any sign with El Palacio written on it.  It is someone's home in a very narrow road which is difficult to find and is not actually in Rincon de la Victoria, the correct address is Torre de Benagalbon.  We were totally unable to find it on the evening we were due to stay there, (even after checking in one of the Rincon hotels, who had never heard of it) but on returning 6 weeks later to pay for our missed night, after driving past it three times, finally located it by ringing the owner and being "guided in".  Prior to this we had asked at a local restaurant/bar and a couple of members of the local police force none of whom were aware of its existence. We attempted to get some discount from our outstanding 75 Euro bill but the owners did not seem to think it was unreasonable to have no signage and also misleading advertising and insisted on full payment.
