We were lucky enough to be able to stay at Posada Laura for one night on our tour of Potes and Fuente De. On arrival we were met by Laura (the owner) who was incredible helpful with information, maps and excellent restaurant suggestions. Our room was very clean and the windows opened onto the beautiful garden in front of the property where we sat and had a quiet, relaxed drink (from the honesty bar) before going to dinner. Breakfast was lovely with cooked eggs and a variety of options form the self service bar. We would highly recommend Posada Laura for a stay if you are visiting the area.  

Great accommodation in a beautiful location

We booked a suite and it was big with two large windows with fantastic views. The bathroom was also big with both a shower and jacuzzi bath. The front garden was beautiful and we enjoyed sitting out there. The host was friendly and though we cannot speak Spanish she managed to understand us and was very helpful. There is no lift so be prepared to carry your bags up the stairs. It is 2.5km from Potes so we walked in during the day but drive in for our evening meal. Our host gave us recommendations of where to eat and they didn’t disappoint. We found it very hot at night with no aircon.

Lovely Posada and friendly host

Warm welcome on arrival with plenty of parking and lovely gardens. Beautiful, individually decorated rooms. Very conveniently located - good access to Monasterio Santo Toribio via a path near the entrance to the village of Turieno and just a short (30 minute) walk into Potes. Delicious range of home-made delicacies for breakfast. Highly recommended.

Wonderful stay in a lovely Picos village

Amazing place and hospitality. The lady running the place ,Louisa is a unique and kind person , great welcome with local cheese and wine. Rooms are big and very convenient.
The breakfast is very generous and very impressive.
Cheap and highly recommend, don’t hesitate!

Superb

We arrived at 10:30 pm and Senora Laura was waiting for us at the front desk! She even got us wine glasses for the wine we brought from dinner!  The room was clean, the beds comfortable, and each room had a balcony overlooking to Picos! The breakfast was very nice with fresh fruits, breads, and yogurts. She even cooked bacon and eggs to order.  As this hotel is located in the mountain, be prepared for some dramatic driving!  Take the time to visit the little town of Potes nearby.

Beauty in the Austerias

I couldn’t be more happy with Posada Laura a perfect place to stay, particularly if you want a quiet location with parking but near to great facilities, restaurants and all the Picos has to offer.

All delivered with a welcoming smile from the owner who was a lovely welcoming woman who obviously takes pride in her business and hospitality. 

Best small hotel I’ve stayed in for some time. 
Fully recommended. 

A real quiet gem in the heart of the Picos 

A very quiet and comfortable Posada with amazing views. It is situated in Turieno, itself a 2.5 kilometre walk from Potes. Laura gave us splendid instructions on a route to walk to the Monastery de Santo Toribio. There are also lots of other splendid walks in this area. An excellent breakfast is also available daily. Posada Laura is also spotlessly clean and tidy. Wi-fi is also available. We always walked into Potes where there is a good range of restaurants, but always caught a taxi back in the evening.

Splendid breakfast

We were on a camino to Monasterio de Sto Toribio. It was a 2.7km walk from their place, nearer than staying in the town of Totes.  Señora Laura and Señora Elena prepared breakfast for us and also took our lunch at Casa Ayo which was recommended by them.  They have a homey place, beautiful garden, nice toilet and bath and rooms with balcony.  A very quiet place. 

Nice, quiet place in Turieno, Potes

Small room, austere, clean, friendly owner, overlooking the front garden. Quite adequate, the Posada Laura is a separate building, a newish hotel. The photos and reviews clearly reflect the bedroom allocated and my experience did not match the TripAdvisor photos and reviews.  I was disappointed by the starkness of the room and building and conscious that the views were on the other side of the building. Possibly we were last to arrive and despite having booked long ahead no other rooms were available.
