Bilbao Central Hostel

I stayed just for two nights but had an amazing experience because of all the great service! First of all, I arrived in the morning around 11.20am, before official inchecktime. Coming from Camino del Norte with a knee injury, the woman gave me immediately a bed to rest so i didn't need to wait untill 13. Then the next day, the other ladies washer my stuff carefully allthough I brought it quite late. Talking little more with one of them, I got the impression that they work very hard and not get valued by this. Eventhough, she welcomes everyone very warm, they try to put a name to each face and help you as much as possible with solving the few shortcomings of the building (which is not their fault ofcourse). Me having a bed upstairs in a room with windows had no problems. I think as well that the noise complaints i saw before are really overreacting. It was gay pride this weekend and the hostel was fully booked, still I had a perfect two nights sleep. Then this morning I had some stress with planning my next trip, I could use the common area after checkout time and due to technicality, i couldn't reserve my next hostel. The 3rd receptionist called to make sure they would safe me a bed, arranged my bustrip and cheered me up. All together (including the cleaningstaff who make it every morning look wonderful) it's the perfect getaway stay after some albergue stays. Central in the city with the best receptionists ever, i hope you treath them as good as they treath you! With love from holland!
