44 reviewsWe were hesitant to book since there weren't many recent reviews but we had a wonderful stay at Turmaden as a family of four. We booked the suite, which could accommodate us all spread out on one level with a terrace. The room was very well designed and clean, with a terrace looking out over the farm. Our host, Rafael, was a wonderfully kind owner and a wealth of information for us traveling as a family. Every day we indulged in the delicious local breakfast buffet and were totally stuffed. All of the food came from within a few miles of the property. The pool was a welcome respite from the summer heat wave. I do wish we had been able to see more animals, being on a farm, but our kids did get to collect eggs from the hens one morning. Note that there is no AC, only fans, which was challenging during 97F days but I would imagine it would be perfect in the spring and fall months. The property is not walkable to anything (and up a VERY steep incline for those of us who aren't used to driving manual) but you can reach many beaches and a few of the great restaurants within 10-20 minutes drive. We would definitely return!
