Penzión Paradise

The previous review doesn't present the right place (even the photos aren't right)! The is no swimming pool in the garden or any other things, that are in "Penzion Paradise". This isn't the same building!

In the right "Penzion Paradise" the owner is real nice and helpfull lady! The pension is lovely. The rooms were clean and it was noticeable that she take care of the rooms and atmosphere of whole pension.
I agree that rooms were not big, but there was everything that you need for few days stay in the mountains. The kitchen and rooms are fully equipped.

I highly recommend!

Great place to stay for a long weekend!

We are a group of 10 people who don't speak Slovak. When our travel agency booked our stay, something obviously went wrong in the communication. We were given the address of Penzion Paradise in Smizany while the owner had booked us in the apartment above her own private home.
When the owner arrived at the address in Smizany (after being called by the kind people who were staying there), she was really angry and was shouting at us in Slovak. Apparently she didn't speak English, so one of her other guests was so kind to translate. Misunderstandings happen, but that is most certainly not a reason to start shouting at your guests.
Once arrived at the right address, the disappointment was big. The rooms are too small for the number of beds in it. There's one room that has no direct access to the corridor, which is really annoying at night as they have to pass through another room. There are 3 bathrooms of which only one can be locked. It wasn't clean either. The hair of the previous guests was still in the sink and the floor was so dirty I didn't dare walking around without shoes on.
I read on the website that this apartment is available for 17 people. Ridiculous. We are 10 and it's already enough crowded inside. There is nowhere room to sit together with more than 4 people, so sitting together to discuss the past day isn't an option here.

To end this review with a positive note: there is a nice garden, but it is a shared one with the house next door.
