More than the quality of the accommodation, the quality of the service is superimposed and in this respect, the house of St. Michael is 6 stars.

Family weekend.

The space allows you to enjoy a quiet mini-holiday, the friendly and willingness of Lady Adelaide helps in everything, very close to the village of Armamar which allows you to enjoy the excellent restaurants there.

Staircase to the Douro

Nice old house surrounded by vineyards. Friendly guests. Two swimming pools to relax in the sun. A cozy breakfast in the morning. I especially liked the terrace on the second floor where I spent my time reading. Everything was perfect. Thank you.

A little corner of paradise

We spent only one night here and we wish we had stayed a few more days. We liked the experience, the safety (of being in the middle of nowhere), the stars at night, and the estate. Staff was very friendly though the guy who welcomed us was a bit confusing (not an issue but a bit unclear on which pool we could use, where the breakfast take place, etc..). In fact, there was no airco in the room but was not hot during the night. The room was generally comfy and breakfast was excellent. The main pool had a small bar with reasonable prices, we liked that and we didn't expect. The streets to get to the property are a bit tricky so we recommend arrival before dark to avoid getting lost. It's OK to drive at dark just be careful if you have a large car. Needless to say, if you don't have a car, it may be tricky to get around, specially to get to nearby restaurants.

very good experience

My God... misled by the ratings and the photographs we went to spend a week of vacation at the House of San Miguel Douro. rooms without air conditioning... clean but unconditioned... access to the Farm on earth mixed with cement powder, due to unfinished works, one of the swimming pools with always dirty water, the main one relatively nice, but only with six treetops... and always full of the family of the owners... nothing against, except that the house is next to our room and stay on the balcony until 3:00 in the morning. The only good thing: the sympathy and availability of D. Mi and D. Adelaide, always with a smile on their lips.

♪ It's all wrong, first and last ♪

Location with access a little difficult for larger cars. Pleasant pool but with indoor access to the farm with need for improvements. No bar or restaurant on site operating at reasonable hours, bar closing at 17. Large house without air conditioning and as such very unpleasant for hot days. No amenities such as shampoo, bath gel, soap or hair dryer. Small bathhouses and very weak wi-fi everywhere or nonexistent. It doesn't make up for the price.

Pleasant location and excellent breakfast

I was accommodated on the first weekend of July this year with a group of 18 people (children included). When the reservation (made directly with the project) was made, I asked to use the House and the services available (Kitchen, living room, Churrasqueira, Pool, etc.) as an exclusive option. I was allowed to use the House by an increase in the usual rate, with the right to the Small Lunch being withdrawn. Right here, despite the arguments that the Small Lunch was perfectly available, this was not accepted - only if they were allowed to eat the Fresh Bread (some were especially suggested that we should pay for it outside, which ended up not happening!). When we arrived at the Fifth Avenement (which was a roughly unorganized environment in which the Government had installed a small lounge), finally, the room was opened up to a number of people, and despite the fact that there was a lot of room for the small rooms and apartments, we were allowed to have a lot of room for the small rooms and apartments, but afterwards, we were allowed to have a lot of room for the small rooms and

Disappointment

What a great stay.
The family is really nice and you are wArmly welcome.
The property is wonderful and everything is made to make sure you feel on holidays and like at home.
The breakfast is really big and good with Portuguese specialities.
We would love to come back even if the driving with a large car was challenging. Now we know :-)

Heaven in the middle of the vineyard

What a wonderful stay we had in this establishment. The reception is very pleasant, the rooms are spacious and in a typical, very clean style. The site itself is magical with a splendid view and at nightfall a magical sunset. The breakfast with fresh produce: delicious!

It's wonderful.

When we entered the property, we were amazed at how well maintained it was, everything was neat, flowery, green! It was magical. We stayed in the Casa De Fonte, a terraced house with a stunning view of the vineyards and mountains. There are three swimming pools for the four houses and the hot springs but it is not generous, everyone is respectful. The view from the pool is also beautiful. The hot springs are lovely, and the staff reacted very quickly to everything you might need!
