Arrived and allocated room 28 which had recently been vacated by guests with a dog. We couldn't handle the smell so thankfully we were located to another room. For eur 65 the room was pretty basic old beds and just polish TV. The breakfast was just ok. Location good but if we had more time we would have searched longer. Not sure why there are 3 stars above the entrance..... Cos it ain't 3 star standard.

Quietly located room with balcony. Good beds. Basic but adequate bathroom. Secure parking. Lots of stairs, but modern elevator on the outside of the building! You can go there by car nearby.
There was a kettle but no tea or coffee stock. Very basic breakfast and dinner. Confusion about pre-ordered 'dinner'. This is the only hotel we visited in which the word "dinner" was used for a kind of 'afternoon snack'. Dinner between 18 and 19 h. was called "supper" (souper). They applied a strict time table for the different meals offered. Nowadays time table should be more flexible. Uninviting dining room, type 'school refectory'.

Not bad, but a bit too basic

The hotel is situated approximately 1km from the PKS (bus station). The walk is nearly all uphill, though not difficult, and is well placed for a stroll into town. The rooms are clean, if small, and I believe all have either a safe or security box within. Staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast offers a vast selection of local hams and cheeses, cereal, warmed pancakes, yogurt etc. When large numbers present catering can be a bit chaotic, hampered by two large pillars (roof supports) directly infront of the breakfast selection. Rooms were cleaned every other day. Overal a pleasent stay.

Comfortable and clean, friendly staff

Stayed here now 4 times. reason is location-away from the busy, noisy Krupówki, which will, if you  stay in one of the locations near here disturb your stay (unless you're a nightowl). parking at Renesans is free-which is a bonus because Zakopane gets busy. breakfast is basic but ok. Apartment we stay in has a TV with basic Polish channels a small fridge kettle. beds are real beds not the fold out "rock shelfs" that you often get in Polish accomodation in Zakopane. Free internet-wireless does not work throughout most of hotel-but in the reception/lounge area
Cost of 450zloty per day is not cheap...next year we will try another location...Bellamonte Apartments.

Good choice

we are regular visoters to zakopane and have stayed in many hotelsand pensions in
the area . the renesans  is the only one we have used more than once.
it has a brilliant location , just a few minutes walk from krupowski. but in a nice quiet area. and close to all the main walking routes and train and bus stations.
it is called a pensionat but puts many 3 and 4 star hotels to shame.
what realy makes the renasans is the warm freindly atmosphere
and the nothing is to much trouble attitude of all the staff 
the in house meals are also very good.
