I didn’t stay here. This was the “hostel”used for Peru Hop. How and why they are partnering with this dump I don’t know. 
The reception area downstairs is absolutely freezing and the toilet is filthy.  It has never been cleaned. The “host” is miserable AF and doesn’t even bother with simple pleasantries. The breakfast consisted of two stone cold pieces of bread with butter and jam, it was only 8 soles so whatever. I’m glad that I didn’t stay here, and I feel lucky that it’s NOT my house.

The room is decent for its price. But the cleanliness definitely can be improved. The pillow cases are quite gross as well. We have to put a towel on top of it to sleep. The location is definitely great but it's quite noisy and the bedroom is quite stuffy and dusty if the window is not open.

Cleanliness can be improved 

I came to Puno just as altitude sickness was beginning to set in and the guy at the front desk was so welcoming and enthusiastically helpful, constantly checking up on me and taking time to talk to me in passing. The room was comfortable as well and the views of Puno from the room were spectacular. The hostel is within walking distance of restaurants and along the same street as the pier which made getting around Puno easy. They also stored my luggage for me while I was waiting for the night bus. Excellent stay in Puno!

Superb Staff, Superb Location!

I booked a room to use during the day through Peru Hop

The toilet did not flush properly and I had to push the cistern back towards the wall to get the water running and flushing

There is mould, dirt and peeling paint in the bathroom 

The beds looked awful- I didn’t use them

The doors to the room are flimsy 

The breakfast area looks like a dungeon 

Shame on Peru Hop for recommending this dump

This place is a dump - avoid

We booked a room that was supposed to be at a discounted rate, however when we got there they were charging even less for the room on arrival and would not allow us to have the cheaper price.  Wifi is only for an hour a day, so I’m not sure why we paid for it. And the staff were extremely unhelpful.

Poor service

Spent 1 day there. 
Stole bunch of my stuff from private room. 
Either they let someone to the room (no break in) or they did it themself. 
My room was closes to the reception, it's small place, no way they haven't noticed it.

Even police didn't care much about it. 

Be careful if you go there. Everything from our backpacks was missing once we got back from day trip to Titicaca.

Terrible experience! it was stolen from our private room and owners didn't care at all about it.

Thieves!!!! Terrible experience

Arranged a day trip to Puno coming back from Bolivia, took a minivan fro Desaguadero to Puno, cost of the trip 11 Soles approx. 3.5 USD. The trip lasted 3 hours with beautiful views of green mountains and the Titicaca lake. Arrived to Puno to the Regional Terrapuerto  and took a motorbike-taxi to our hostal, cost of 5 soles(1.5 USD) . The price of the Your lucky house hostal was 75 soles (30 USD), 3 beds and a bathroom, comfortable to stay a night, close to restaurants, market, and transportation. The hostal staff were very friendly, were able to arranged a tour to the Floating Islands of the Uros for 35 soles per person (10 USD) pick up from the hostal and return. Breakfast was basic included bread, bananas, coffee, cheese, tomatoes. Enjoyed the trip to Puno despite the pouring rain we were able to walk around the city.

1 day trip to Puno-Peru

Comfortable, and cosy accommodation, close to the heartbeat of Puno!  Extremely friendly, honest and great service by Ana and the staff, especially going beyond the call of dutu to reunite me with my camera and GoPro, which I accidently left behind, oops!  Ana arranged with my tour provider to have it sent via bus to Cusco with next day delivery!  I am truly grateful!

Cosy and extremely good service

We traveled in Peru for 10 days (Lima, Puno, Cusco, and Aguas Calientes). We stayed at this hostel for only one night but it was great. Free wifi and hot showers. This was the only hostel that truly had hot water. A lot of hostels say they do, but once we got there there was no more hot water and the shower was cold. Another thing we found was that in a lot of places that do have hot water have poor controllers making you shower extrememly hot or extremely cold. This hostel got it right. We also had a personal bathroom within our room so that was a nice perk not having to carry our stuff down the hallway to use a common bathroom like other hostels have. Our room had a TV as well, although we preferred the common room. The common room is right when you walk in and it has a large nice TV with netflix and sooooo many movie choices. We had a great time here after long days just lounging and meeting other travelers. They also offered breakfast and unlimited tea/coffee and use of the kitchen. Once we checked out, they also were able to store our luggage at no cost so we could go stay overnight on Amantani Island. We then returned the following evening and retrieved our luggage. Very great service.

Best Hostel we stayed at in all of Peru

Booked here because they had a cheap private room, and what a great decision that turned out to be. Comfy, warm bed, with a small but clean bathroom that had plenty of hot water! Staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly, and tried their absolute hardest to accommodate my woeful Spanish (and they did so superbly!). Also the best included breakfast I've come across, with staff cooking scrambled eggs on request. Conveniently located, can't recommend this place highly enough for a stay in Puno!
