Basically, this is a good places to pass a weekend off, it a a pool right next to the building and a restaurant. They were really helpful with us because first they didn't give us a room that was facing to the river but I just approach to the front desk and he made the best possible to switch me to a different room(I do not remember his name right now but I guess was the owner or his son). The staff was great. I highly recommend this hotel is kind of far from the center but easily you can get a taxi just paying 4 dollars per trip.

Awesome experience

We had a wonderful four nights at the mirador, the view from the river facing rooms is amazing and you can listen to the sound of the river all night. Beds are really comfortable. There are also not many mosquitos up in the rooms, which is great because they are quite a plague in Lunahuana and be sure to go Everywhere with your repellant even in the middle of the day. There is a nice swimming pool and a restaurant which serves really nice but limited menu. It's very easy to catch a colectivo into town to eat. They also have built a wonderful natural swimming pool down by the river, a really great place to relax. The family is really warm and helpful. The only small issue was sometimes loud music playing in the afternoon but I'm sure they would switch it off if asked. Be sure to get a room with river view. 

Wonderful views

This jewel of a hotel is 4.3 km east of the small tourist town of Lunahuana.  It is nestled along the bank of the Rio Cañete just out of town.  We arrived and the owner Jose greeted us and helped us settle in.  Our room was clean and the view out our window overlooking the valley and river was breathtaking.  After we settled in the owner took us for a personal tour of the hotel's grounds showing us all the amenities.  He showed us the riverfront access on their grounds on which they had build natural lagoons for safe swimming in the churning river.  We slept like babies every night listening to the river flow.

The food in the dining room was excellent.  Breakfasts were inexpensive and offered local fare from the region.  Lunch and dinner was more expensive, but well worth the price because of the quality of the cooking and the size of the portions.  Esperanza and the girls in the kitchen treated us like kings.

The owner was a fountain of advice about the myriad of tourist attractions and he kindly helped us set up a white-water rafting adventure for the next day.

This hotel is a great family spot that offers plenty of green areas for the kids to run and play.  

We felt so welcome by the owners and staff.
