I have stayed at this hotel twice in the last 11 years. This time it was in January and February of 2022. Monica (the owner) and her staff have always been very friendly and very helpful. If you need anything, she can either tell you where to go to get it or call on her numerous contacts to take care of any of your needs. 11 years ago the street it is located on was not so busy. Now it is fairly busy. Although you don't notice it from the rooms. Speaking of the rooms! All of the ones i have stayed in (at least 5 different ones) were very spacious, clean and comfortable. They all have a kitchen with sink, refrigerator, microwave, dishes and cutlery. Are well decorated with local artwork. And have attached bathrooms with shower. And of course A/C. Small shops and cafes located within 5 min. walk. I highly recommend this hotel.

Always treated like family at my favorite place to stay in Iquitos

Very clean. Hot water. Friendly staff- speak English. Comfortable bed and AC. Mini fridge and tea kettle in room with mugs and plates which was convenient.

Monica at Nativa Apartments is a rare and precious gem. Her care, her attention, her generosity, and her warm heart made my whole stay in Iquitos. I even got to tagalong on an animal rescue mission with her! She made me feel right at home as a solo female traveller, and it was such a breeze communicating online and verbally since she speaks perfect English. Muchas gracias, Monica! I hope to stay with you again.

Great rooms, great location, great price, rooms are clean, entrance is safe and secure, there’s a good cafe around the corner and a small bodega across the street.  Most of all, there is great spirit and energy, thanks to the wonderful owner.  Her English is fantastic, she helps me with my Spanish, and she rescues cats and dogs.  I’ve stayed here several times over 5 years.  I absolutely recommend it.

Home in Iquitos

Clean rooms, helpful staff and good location.  Everything you need to navigate the city.  3-4 blocks to the Malecon and western-style restaurants and another 20 minutes to the Belen market for local goods...

Great place at the right price!

Nativa is the best! And I have something to compare with, as I was staying in Iquitos several days a month for more than a year during my field trips to and from the forest. The location is perfect, just 5 min walking from the Plaza de Armas but very quiet. The rooms are always perfectly clean, the beds are comfy, there is an AC and a small kitchenette and the shower is hot which is super rare for Iquitos. There is also a nice communal courtyard and a balcony on each floor. But the best about Nativa is its owner, Monica, who's so warm and welcoming that you immediately feel at home. She speaks perfect English,  can help you solve any problem and dedicates a lot of her time to helping stray animals. So there is always a couple of dogs and cats around in the courtyard which is a huge bonus. I would go back to Nativa at any time and already miss it a lot. Thank you again Monica!!!

Amazing place with a family atmosphere, right in the center

Super quiet. Good A/C.  HOT water.  Extremely friendly and fully English speaking owner receptionist. All the rooms have windows.  There is a communal courtyard to hang out.  You can have full use of the kitchen. The rooms have a fridge and lots of space. 
The WiFi is the same as everywhere else. 

Monica the owner helped me find back my cellphone after I left it in a motor taxi.  Amazing!

Really good deal

I recently spent a total of 5 nights at the Nativa Apartments Boutique Hotel.  It was everything that I had hoped for.  It is a very short 3 block walk (5 minutes) to the Plaza de Armas, and just another 1-2 block walk to some wonderful restaurants.  My room was huge, with a small kitchen area with fridge, clean bathroom with plenty of hot water in the shower and a very large, comfortable bed.  The air conditioning was a blessing after walking around Iquitos for an hour or two.  I generally retired to the room in mid-day to cool down and recharge.

The owner, Monica, lives in the back of the building with her two cute little dogs.  Monica was always a pleasure to talk with.

As nice as the room is, the staff is even nicer.  Very willing to do anything to help out.  The staff sent my (very) dirty laundry out when I returned from the Amazon.  It was back in my room by mid-day.  They arranged cabs for me to come from/to the airport (25 soles), a cab to take me to a manatee center, and a guide to take me to the Belen Market (40 soles).  I would not hesitate to recommend the Nativa Apartments to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean place to stay in Iquitos

Wonderful place to use as a base in Iquitos, close enough to Plaza de Armas,  yet on a quiet street

Absolutely a wonderful place to stay in Iquitos. Nice rooms with everything you would need. Very close to everything with restaurants and shopping and the river within walking distance. Monica and her staff are super friendly and accommodating and also speak English. I highly recommend staying here.

Wonder place that feels like home

We stayed at Monica’s property during a recent mission trip. The staff is friendly, attentive and informative about the community, restaurants and shopping.  The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The only downside was having to turn off the AC each day while we were out. It took a long time for the AC to catch back up to a comfortable temp after being out in the heat all day. I would have preferred to keep it running even at a warmer temp instead of having to turn it off.
