This guesthouse of Alex and his wife is not just a wonderful guesthouse but also a kind of home. We feel so good and welcome. Alex is always so patient and helpful in every situation! A big big thank you for every small single advice and help. You are our hero. Also the people who work here (Nidup, John…) are so friendly and always willing to help with any issues. Really heartful buddies.

All the rooms are very clean, comfortable and with own shower and toilette. With enough closet and space and also having a wonderful view! The best on top is the beautyful garden. A small oasis to retreat and relax from the loud traffic. Everything is close by. Swayambhu Stupa, BIA Café, shops, other small restaurants …
And very important for digital nomads: the wifi is pretty stable. 
I can make all my phonesessions on whats app and other channels.

I highly recommande this guesthouse and whenever we come back to Kathmandu-this is our first choice to stay.

A pearl in Kathmandu

Very nice location with the astonishing view to the most holy Swayambhu hill, as well as to the other mountains around Kathmandu. The place is very quiet and transportly accessable, but at the same time one can just walk to the main tourist and religious attractions of this part of the city and also to many cafes of all categories - from expensive hipsters' ones to the cheap locals'.
The rooms in the guesthouse are cozy, and there is a common kitchen, which might also serve as the communication and sharing place. Internet was good most of the time.

Mysterious Kimdol hill

Staying here was a unique experience! The hosts and staff here are so welcoming and friendly, it's like being adopted into their family! You feel like you belong here and it's hard to imagine leaving. 

I originally only planned to stay a few days before jetting off to Pokhara for three months. However, I ended up spending only a week in Pokhara and returning here. This guesthouse felt like my home and my hub for all my travels throughout Nepal. Every time I returned from a trip, it felt like I was coming back to my second family

Wonderful place

Nice, clean room with closets. Great kitchen with ample personal storage space and everything for cooking, taking tea, and coffee. The owners are a couple that is very outgoing, helpful, and knowledgeable. They have experience in organizing tours, transportation and everything we needed. Warm, cozy, and efficient experience.

Wonderful place to stay close to Swayambhu Stupa and surrounding places. Service, rooms, laundry, location - everything was good. Special thanks to the Alexey, who helped a lot with tips about trips and food in Nepal.

I enjoyed a lot

Extraordinary guesthouse: clean and well-maintained. A peaceful haven in the busy and chaotic Kathmandu. The common kitchen is a friendly space shared with fellow travellers. Staff is organised, polite, nice and helpful. The managers are fantastic. The nice cosy garden is cherry on top.

I really love Alex and Lera’s guesthouse, it is my second home in Kathmandu :) it is clean, beautiful, cozy, with great kitchen where we always cook something and have nice dinners together. Swayambhu View Guesthouse is community where you can always meet amazing people in garden or rooftop. Highly recommend!

❤️ Cosy and clean guesthouse near Swayambhu Stupa

I enjoyed at Alex's place a lot. The rooms are clean. The kitchen is well equipped. In the garden one can rest well, it is a green oasis amidst the city. 
Swayambuh is my favorite pilgrimage spot, therefore I loved it even more.

cozy place; enjoyed a lot

Great place to stay. Tucked away from the crowds. Quiet, clean, attractive rooms. We  slept very well after long plane flight. Excellent communal kitchen, kept very clean and tidy. Loved the character of the guest house- marble floors and wooden features, the garden and views. Very helpful staff. The excellent BIA café with its delicous home baked food just minutes away. We stayed several days and would definitely stay again.

A hidden gem

Swayambhu View GH is a great place to hide from frenzy of busy KTM. It is isolated from the small street by its own fence, has a nice tidy garden and a rooftop setting to enjoy the view of Swayambhu while having your morning coffee (or morning yoga if you like). The building is actually a multi-storied house with rooms on either sides the staircase and a kitchen on the ground floor available for you to cook if you feel like it. Rooms a spacious and tidy, and entire house is taken good care of. Owners are very welcoming and happy to advise on and about KTM, its surroundings and general travel and trekking in Nepal. There is also plenty of small local shops and markets within 5 min walk and owners can point you to nice cafes around.
