Fantastic base for our Bronze Whaler Shark Fishing trip through Sport Quest Holidays. Louis , who runs the guesthouse with his wife, was a fantastic guide and we had some brilliant fishing , three big “bronzies” , plus the one that got away ! Lots of others species caught as well. Rooms very comfortable and plenty of space, food was great - ( Louis is an ex chef ) and his wife is a great cook too !
So all in all , a great stay , great fishing  and good hospitality - perfect place to stay !

Great Base for our Shark Fishing Experience

Top rate.  Clean, basic rooms with excellent hospitality.   Breakfast offered nutritious variety, comfortable social areas to gather.  Enjoy a fine selection of beverages at the bar.  Easy  beach access, great sport fishing area.  Ask about the catering!

Home Sweeter than Home 

Aneke make us feel much welcome. Lovely clean room and bathroom. Breakfast was very good. Love the dogs. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Even help us with our laundry and to wash and clean our camping equipment. Lovely view of the ocean from our bedroom. Will stay there again for sure!  Very safe parking. Value for money

Home away from home

We were a small party passing through Henties as part of an extensive Namibia 4x4 trip and  who also wanted a good fishing experience at the famous Henties Bay. We stayed at Fisherman's Guest House for only one night, and wish we could have stayed longer.

The hosts and staff were very friendly, as was the general atmosphere in the welcoming lounge , bar and dining room. The  rooms were spotless and very comfortable.

The highlight of our first night was a 5 star  quality dinner with one of the best fish dishes I have ever tasted. We later discovered that Louis started his professional career as chef in a 3 star Michelin restaurant in Europe and he certainly retains all of  his food expertise!

The next day Louis personally took us to one of his favorite spots for a morning's fishing. His knowledge of this coast and varying conditions is deservedly famous. We had a most enjoyable time and caught 2 lovely cob which we braaied ourselves that night.

Despite being short staffed at the time, Louis and his team could not have been more helpful and went out of their way in all sorts of manner to help us to enjoy our stay - which we did greatly - thank you Louis.

All in all, our stay at Fisherman's Guest House was one of the highlights of our great Namibian holiday.

Great Lodge and amazing host

Hosts are charming and rooms are clean with adequate facilities. No need to bring your own coffee pot. wi-fi dodgyif that is important to you. BUT the food is absolutely fantastic. The best fish you can eat - fresh, tasty, soft and succulent. Really,  the best you will find to eat - ANYWHERE

FANTASTIC FISH

A lovely place with clean rooms and a very attractive gathering space. Part of a family home, you will be greeted by delightful dogs and children. Feels like a New Zealand kind of guesthouse, but you have plenty of privacy too. Overall, a delightful place.

Nice intimate guesthouse

A huge thank you to the lovely family of Fisherman’s Guesthouse. Everyone was super friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. Louis is great fun guy and it was the best evening of our trip. His wife was super helpful and very caring, which we appreciated a lot due to our car troubles. The dinner was amazing and the location is also great. We would definitely stay again and cannot thank them enough.
