We enjoyed our stay at the Mayan Palace. Our one bedroom accommodations were roomy and convenient to the Marina. We had to pay a $300 Resort Fee on registration which we consider excessive. They do have activities during the day and a workout room but that's not much for $300.

Nice hotel, nice marina location.

Natalia from the Joya squad was great and so much fun to play games with.  I played black jack and Texas Holdenm, corn hole and Mexican bingo and all were fun.

Magdalena, my maid, was wonderful , efficient and  quick to respond to my requests.

Mayan Palace is a great resort on the beach and is smaller scale so easy to get from pool to beach to room. Short Uber to downtown and cheap. Nice location and spacious rooms. Marina area is ok to walk around, but highly suggest getting to downtown and the Romantic Zones for authentic Mexican food and fun

Pleasant and uncrowded beach stay

The people were very nice and the games they put on were very fun. The pool was great and the beach was very close. The drink are very good and I would highly recommend getting them. There are plenty of restaurants around the area you can go to. Natalia was very helpful and put on fun games.

Great fun in Mexico at the Mayan Palace

I was very comfortable. The food and service was excellent.  The grounds/pools, etc were all very comfortable and beautiful.  The people were all very kind.
The only down side was the curtains didn't close fully.  But it wasn't a big deal so I didn't mention it to anyone.

Nice smaller resort

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Tiny room, no view, 2 beds that were practically twins - felt like Lucy & Ricky Ricardo. We won this trip in a raffle but there was a $250 resort fee. Total rip off. We checked out after 1 night. Never saw the beach nor a pool. Massive resort that has a Farris wheel & tram, must use a 6-10 passenger golf cart to get around, getting from the entrance to the “first” check in area is 2 km, can’t take Uber from the property. Disappointed at every turn

Won “Free” Trip in Raffle - Rip Off

Mayan Palace is our home away from home.  It’s a great place to connect with family and friends. The Joy Squad are the best and plan fun activities for all ages! Thanks: Pablo, Agustin, Yoceline, Stephanie and Maria! Fernando in the gym is an encourager and so good to work with.  The bell boys know us well and go out of their way to help. Arturo is another one we count on for help. I could go on but you get the idea.  Their each personal in their caring & fun. We leave always planning to come back next year!!

Mayan Palace in the Marina… so fun!

The trip was great and the Joy Squad was a lot of fun. You could relax or enjoy daily fun activities all throughout the day. 
We have stayed here many times and it has always been great, and many shops close by, which is quite convenient 

A great place to stay

Yoceline and Dorle were by far the best humans I ever met. They were so sweet and encouraged our outgoing family in every activity we did. Yoceline always welcomed us in the pool. Dorle was always on top our food and drinks by the pool and beach. They made our trip so eventful and cheerful!

This was our fourth time staying at the Mayan Palace in the Marina. It was, once again, a wonderful experience!  From the beautiful sunset views, the delicious food, spacious and comfortable rooms, and top rated service. A highlight was the Joy Squad who provided entertainment, activities, prizes, fun, and friendship. They go out of their way to help everyone have a wonderful vacation. Maria, Yoceline, Stephanie, Pablo, and Augustin made our stay so fun. Thank you!
The location is optimal - the Marina provides many restaurant and shopping choices. It is a short bus ride or taxi to other restaurant and shopping areas.
