The room we got at El Encanto was really nice, especially for the price. This is not a luxury room, but it was clean and comfortable and cute. We got what I think is called the Deluxe room--it's two stories (second story is kind of a loft). There were two double beds and two twin beds in our room, with varying degrees of firmness. The AC worked really well and there was a balcony with a somewhat bigger than a sliver view of the ocean. The building we stayed in is not the main one pictured in this ad. I believe those rooms probably have a better ocean view. It rained twice and after the heavier rain (honestly more rain than I've ever seen in my life, in any country!), you had to wade through some huge puddles/shallow ponds to get to the rooms in the picture. We didn't have to wade through anything for our room. We did have some water coming in through the roof during the rain, but it was only in the front hallway and we put some towels down and it was fine. They offered to switch our rooms, but we were too lazy to do that. Water pressure was totally fine. We didn't have hot water for 2 days and told staff and they fixed it immediately. Def download WhatsApp before going, as that is a great way to get in touch with the front desk.Beachfront is not as luxurious as some other places, but still beautiful and goes with the lower price. Location to town is really good--5-10 minute walk. This hotel is not ON the beach, but is like a one minute walk there. Would stay again!

A hotell with everything from the breakfast untill sleeping time BUT i will give a extra star too this persons, 1. ANNA  as we meet every morning she gives that little extra ☆☆☆ 

At the poolbar even MANOLIS gives the extra ☆☆☆ and also MICHAILIS ☆☆☆

Perfect vacation

We went to Holbox and I can tell you this is a super cool place to relax. Staff is super friendly and they let you bring your pet. A must if you want to be near the beach and have a great time with your family and friends.

Awesome place

We were two couples and 3 out of the four of us had never been to Holbox. After having spent 4 days and 3 nights on the beautiful island and staying at Villas El Encanto, we can all say that 100% these Charming Villas are fabulous and would highly recommend. They are extremely well located, the staff were accommodating in every way to include great referrals.

Stay here!!!!!

Went for the weekend and didnt want leave. The cabins on the beach have the nicest view i seen in awhile, super clean and friendly staff. Highty recommend it! If you like kite surfing they have a school with great teachers, definitely will come back.

Amazing relaxing in times in holbox!

We have had such a good time at Villas El Encanto. It's not a high-comfort hotel, but you have everything you need to relax and to feel comfortable. the view from the veranda to the sea is amazing, hammocks are everywhere, the doggos are so cute and it is very quite out there. A perfect place to calm down.

Chillout Paradise

Very disappointed with the room quality. We paid extra for a sea view beach villa and you needed binoculars to see the sea, it was far away with buildings blocking any view. The room was too dark and it needs venetian not full blinds to provide light. There's no storage. There's a fridge in the wardrobe and in the bathroom no storage areas at all, toiletries had to go on the floor. Expensive for a very basic room only. 

Sea View? Poor quality for the money

The place is very nice but its management seems to be out to lunch! To begin with, the studio/cabins are spacious and well kept but there were several things missing -- they don't even have not normal chairs)for guest to seat on. In an Island  with only expensive beach restaurants to eat you are basically stuck there. The room we got didn't  even a coffee maker so our options to feed our family were limited  limited. Paradoxically, our cabin had a large fridge that remained mostly empty as we didn't have anything to keep refrigerated.

I must acknowledge that  here is one "kitchen" in the property that has not been upgraded to be used by guests (it is mostly for the local personnel living there). We did use the kitchen occasionally (to make tea) but the whole situation was uncomfortable for everyone. 

On a positive note:  the lady who cleaned our cabin tried to remediate the issues mentioned above by letting us us some of the kitchen plates and cups.

Suggestions: the owner/management should invest a little bit of money and make the large rooms into semi-studios with at least a coffee maker, a hot plate and some basic dinner ware.

Needs some LTC!

I booked online the family villa for 1 night. I was really disappointed when reaching the hotel since it is still under construction. Moreover, our night was awful since the air conditioning machine was not properly installed, & each time it turned on (every 17mns) the whole wall was shaking. Last we were 5 people only 2 towels in the room. Even if the guy at the reception was really nice & understood my complaints it was clear that it couldn't do anything for me since the owner was remote. And all that for not less than 300 euros :-(  Only good surprise is the nice dog Cooper who was really friendly!
