Mathiveri Stay is a wonderful pearl in Paradise. We stayed at the guesthouse for five days, early 2018. 
The staff is wonderful and at your side all the time to fulfill our every need, may it be serving meals, just coffee or answering questions. 
We had all our meals there and Francesca's Italian touch to the Maldivian cuisine was great! 
The garden of the guesthose is secluded and very nice and quiet. As there are only three rooms there was ample space for everybody. The rooms are Maldivian in style; simple, nice and very clean. 
We did two excursions during our stay; evening fishing (when we got back to the guesthouse, the fish was barbecued and we had a delicious meal!) and a snorkling excursion where Ismael expertedly guided us to see turtles and myriads of fish!
The western shore of the island is easily accessable for snorklers and show a suprising variety of fish and coral. The guesthouse has a private beach with chairs and umbrellas for the guests. The island itself is small, very clean and the local people are very nice. 
Mathiveri, and Mathiveri Stay, provides everything you wish for when looking for a nice, comfortable, realxing and beautiful vacation. We will be back!

It was a pleasant stay at Mathiveri stay. We stayed at the guesthouse for 3 nights and I would recommend this guesthouse as the rooms are comfortable and the manager was the most helpful and friendly.

three night stay at Mathiveri stay

My boyfriend and I came here for one week during February. We enjoyed very much staying there. Everything was perfect ! the staff is very nice and friendly ! The island is really amazing ! I definitely would go there again !!!  

Very good experience 

We stayed in Mathivery stay! We stayed there for about 1 week and we really loved it. The room was nice and clean! The staff was very polite and hospitable. Aslan and Vitaliy took us to the best places for snorkelling on the island. We really loved excursions to the beach to watch sting rays ans muray eats at night with  flash lights. They served a fantastic breakfast in Maldevian style. We enjoyed Mathivery Island beaches very much. The hotel was located just 5 minutes walk away from the ocean and very beautiful white sand beacges. There were also some place where it was possible to watch sting rays. Aslant arranged transportation boat for us to get the airport and made sure that our vacation was nice and pleasant. We definitely want to come back there again. Marina and Liudmila.

Wonderful place!

We were only guests in the guesthouse. We planned our holidays here mainly because of this private island, so we called to Mathiveri Stay from Slovakia(home) before holidays, just to ensure that it is possible walk on this island. They said yes, don`t worry. We booked our stay for 10 nights, but we had to leave after first night because this wasn`t "holidays" at all. 

We came to Mathiveri Island at 11 am, after few mins of waiting in harbor they came to pick us. Then they said to us, that lunch will be at 12:30, so we gone for a walk with one of them to see island. First of all we asked about this private island, he said that it is not possible to walk here, only swim. We were shocked. To make it worse, you had to swim from NON BIKINI (locals beach) beach to the private island, so you would have to swim in your clothes. He offered us a speedboat for 10$ for round trip (there and back). So every day if you want to go to the private island, you have to pay 10$ per boat per round trip and settle some exact time when they come for you. And if you want lunch, you have to go there and back 2 times... By the way this private island is maybe 50 m from main island, and they want 10$. Kayak is 15$/hour or 50$per day. So no reasonable way...

Okay, so we decided to check beach at Casa Mia, they said that we are allowed to go there if we want. We thought that at least here the beach will be ok, but it wasn`t. First of all, you have to cross some rusty fence then you come to the beach. When you go to Maldives, you expect the white sand beaches and nice view. But there, rusty fence was ruining your view and there were no sand at all, it was small shelves and broken corals (cutting your feet), so beach comparable to some ordinary beach, nothing special at all. 

Then we came back to the guesthouse, guy that was guiding us stayed at Casa Mia with some of his friends. We came to guesthouse at 12:30. looking for some lunch as we settled with them before. Up to 15:00 (!!!) no one show at the guesthouse. We were looking for them, shouting on them, knocking on their doors...no one. At 15:00 they bring us our lunch.

We were disgusted, so we decided to take that boat to private island. You would not believe how trashy it was. It was like junkyard. Bottles, old shoes, leafs and sea grass, broken corals and shelves... I understand that is mainly from tourists, but if you want some tourist to come back or give good reference, you should clean that tourist beach.

We decided to leave to the other island next morning, where we have to stay our first night because of bad weather in Male. We told Ahmed that we are going to leave, and arranged meeting with him at 23:30 to sign cancellation. Of course, no one showed until 1:00 am. Than we pay him cancellation and one night stay and go to sleep. He said that he will arrange our breakfast at 7:00 am so we can eat before we go to ferry at 8:00 am. Of course they didn`t make it at 7:00 but started at 7:40, so we missed the breakfast.

Btw. WiFi wasn`t working all day we spend here, only when Ahmed showed and make us a WiFi hotspot from his iPad.
