This place is lovely. Granted it doesn’t look like much from the outside but you cannot find nicer or more accommodating hosts. Nothing is too much trouble and they even give you a recommended itinerary to make the most out of your stay.

Recommend highly.

So friendly and helpful

We spent three nights here and it was gorgeous! Choa is a very friendly and helpful host and gave us many tips for Malakka and our roundtrip through Malaysia. The bed was comfy, the shared rooms are good and the AC in the room was strong and quiet. It's a very clean and beautiful Guesthouse. Absolutely good value for the money. We would return at any time! 

Old Town Guesthouse Malakka

It is a place where you feel welcome. Very friendly personal interaction, good location, clean room, with many recommendations of food and site seeing provided by the owner. You can use the kitchen to cook if you want along with having coffee and tea all day long.

Good and friendly hostel

This was by far the most tidiest and neatest place I have stayed during my 3 month travel. Still the place is so charming and friendly not least because of Chau and his wife who are so lovely. They are always around for a chat and Chua is super happy to help you out not only with the sightseen and food in Melaka, but also with your travel arrangements and planning throughout Malaysia. I simply enjoyed my stay here.

Loved that place!

Had a great 3 night stay at this guesthouse in a private room with air con. Location is great only a 5 -10 minute walk to the main areas. The best part of the guesthouse was the owner, he was extremely friendly and happy to give any information. He also sat down with us and gave us good information on our next destination Bali. Would thoroughly recommend this property.

Good painting on the walls.  Good value for money.  Tea and coffee available.  Toast provided in the morning.  Clothes washing facilities available in the guest area, although the owner seemed annoyed that we used them,  which was strange.  But quick dry travelling clothes can't be put through a tumble dryer at the laundry.  There was AC in the room and it was quiet at night.  The bed was comfortable. A map of the area was provided, and the is a nice social area.

Old Town Guesthouse was the perfect place to stay in Melaka. Great location, lovely clean rooms, and friendly host with lots of travel tips!

This hotel is relatively cheap with great access to destinations in the place. I enjoyed the view of the outside. I can say that this hotel is good for everyone. One thing, Elevator is not available and you need to climb the stairs 

Good View with Affordable Price 

We were 2 adults and 2 childrens in one room for 4 people with AC, in august 2018.

Great welcome.
Lovely paints (and also maps) on wall,  decorations in all the guesthouse.
Rooms and collective spaces perfect for our family.
Advices very helpful to visit Melacca.
Good located.


Great place, friendly and usefull advices

Spacious, clean and light room with a very comfortable bed. Only downside was that there was only 1 plug socket. 

Wifi is good. Free breakfast is bread and butter/jams - simple but very nice, and tea, coffee and drinking water you can help yourself to.

The place overall is very nicely decorated and the owners are very friendly and helpful. It's a 5 minute walk from Chinatown too.
