Excellent, a great value in a perfect location near tons of restaurants. Strong wifi and shower, comfortable bed and bedding, very clean, super nice and helpful staff, and kettle + water cooler provided

a fantastic stay

Could have more sunlight in room, the place seems under maintenance, which I feeling danger

Clean, basic room, with a bigger than expected bathroom. There's a night market next to hotel and an open-air massage in the square :) Many eateries and massage places nearby, though it is not very brightly-lit at night on the streets of kk.

Hidden gem, lovely vibe, good price

not perfect but value to stay for short tme

A very welcoming gestures from manager/owner, Mr and Mrs owner, and (I believe) their daugher, they were informative and friendly with all the local information, which were very helpful. The hotel location is very strategic in the town centre, next to a night market, not too far for any kind of yummy foods. After the first night with a room that beyond our expectation, they offer us for the second night another bigger and better room above our expectation, for the same price, great business like attitude. The rooms were OK, clean with flat screen TV and complimentary drinks, bathroom were OK, beds were comfy, at affordable rates. No complaint, happy guests.

Great welcoming service from the owner manager

The hotel is basic and clean. The city however, is not attractive and very dirty with rubbish in most places. Unless you must go to KK, I would recommend going directly to your destination, fx flying/driving to Sandakan/Sepilok. If you stay in KK, try the food market at the seaside, but expect is to be very dirty (but also interesting).

Basic and ok hotel, unattractive city

Nice hotel. Everything good. Nice room, good location surrounding with place to eat. You can easily just walk if u want . Nice staff. The room deco also good.The only thing that i hope they can upgraded is TV channel which is verry limited n not clear. Will stay here again

2nd Stay

In January, we stayed two nights at hotel five 2. The hotel is not the cheapest in the area; unfortunately, however, we are afraid that we found it a little bit too expensive for what we got.

- the room looked very old
- the room was not really clean
- noise isolation does not really matter if you are suffering from the AC fan sound of the room upstairs
- the bathroom looked really old, not really clean
- the bathroom is a combination of a shower and a toliet, resulting in a wet toilet after a shower has been taken
- location wise it is fine. The street/elley it is located it in, however, felt a bit 'off'

We do want to note, in addition to the above, that
- the hotel staff (a family) is friendly

For the price paid, not really good

Staff was nice and helpful. It’s a budget hotel and get what you pay for. Beds are very hard.
