We were travelling through Latvia as a group of 20+ people, and it was our second night stopover. The place is located very close to the beachfront, and not too far from the Saules park area. The amenities and facilities in the room (inclusive of kettle, fridge, etc.) were excellent. And the room itself was spacious, well-furnished and modern. (The only small thing is the double-bed, which was totally fine for me to share it with someone but may not work that way for other guests.) It was the kitchen that made our day, where all of us could congregate and do the cooking together. Equally important, there was enough place to park our transport. There is also a street cat overlooking the maintenance of the premises, making sure its residents are well entertained.

Good place for good money

The first challenge is to find the owners.  [To be fair, they had tried to contact me.]  Once you are in, the rooms are remarkably well equipped for the price.  The bathrooms are clean and large.  Rooms have refridgerators, heating, kettles, televisions, Wifi.  At €25 per night, no complaints at all and the guest house is within easy walking distance of the old town, restaurants, shops etc. You can't blame the owners for the behaviour of his other guests and, unfortunately, on the night I stayed there were doorbangers until after midnight and again just after 7am.  It did make me realise the lack of sound insulation - the walls are very thin!
