Pros:
The staff spoke excellent English, were kind and courteous, and the place gave off friendly and relaxed vibes all around.

The views are marvelous during both day and night.

Being away from the main town, the location feels a lot more safe and secure, especially considering the sorry state of the institutions in Laos.

Since it's across the river from town, you have quick and easy access to the countryside, views and attractions, and can also rent buggies/scooters for even easier access and immediate adventure.

Cons:
The price of the rooms was on the steeper side, probably due to the concurrent Chinese national holiday this week.

A set menu Breakfast+Beverages are offered, but not included in the room price.

The air-conditioning took a while to get the fairly spacious bungalows down to temperature- it was honestly fine for me, but one of my traveling companions found it to be inadequate.

The 'double beds' in the bungalows were all pairs of 'single' beds pushed together, it's a little awkward and could be much better. The duvets/blankets were also a pair of singles.

Getting to the hotel via taxi was a bit of a faff- the road and bridge nearest to the hotel are only suitable for foot/2-wheeled traffic, and taxi's currently need to take the long way to get here.

Beautiful and quiet getaway for those who appreciate a more serene atmosphere.

What a lovely place!  Over a kilometre out of Vang Vieng centre, so much more peaceful at night (although there is transport into town for those who want it).  The booming music from the party bars is still audible but is not intrusive. Fragrant, well kept gardens a contrast to the urban reek. A nice clean pool and pleasant garden sitting / sunning areas. Our bungalow was the furthest away from the reception / dining area and had a stunning view of the karst cliffs nearby (although all the bungalows have balconies with nice views of the gardens or mountains).  They rented us bikes - easy access to the Blue Lagoon etc.  Pleasant menu available at good prices. Very nice, helpful people. Train / bus station transfers included and they procured our onward train tickets for only a small admin fee. Excellent value for the quality of accommodation and service. A great place to stay if you want tranquility and beauty.

Amazing place.  Four Canadians spent 4  nights, could have spent 4 more.  The staff went above and beyond.   The grounds are beautiful, views are amazing.  They take care of you and book everything you need.  Thank you Bearlin for a great stay :)  

Amazing place and staff

Beautiful garden with cosy and well maintained Bungalows. Very friendly staff. Nice terrace to eat with a great view of the rocks. The kids loved the pool. Good location for a relaxed stay at vang vieng!

Beautiful garden with cosy bungalows

A very quiet and friendly place with such nice hosts. This cosy place is a little outside of town but still you can walk there. There is a pool, a little restaurant (even with some typically german dishes) and the perfect german speaking hosts can organize almost everything for you. When we arrived with the minibus from Luang Prabang we just send them a whatsapp and they picked us up in town. The breakfast is great too;) The bungalows are spacious, clean and equiped with everything you need. All in all: Just great!

Great place to stay

Moved to these bungalows after staying in a hotel in the main town which was next to a noisy building site! So to arrive on the other side and hear how peaceful the place was was the best thing ever! The owner is absolutely lovely, will assist you with anything that you need, as will her staff. Bungalows clean, dogs and rabbits roam freely which gives the place a real home from home feeling. We hired a motor bicycle or used local tuks to get into and back from town but the distance is walkable, would advise in the day only though as at night the road is very long and dark. A few little restaurants on this side should you not wish to go far. Be mindful that to cross the bridge into the main town you are charged to return each time we we were unaware beforehand unless you use other bridge which seemed quite dangerous the only time we attempted (muddy slippery and lorries coming and going). 

1 week stay at quaint peaceful accommodating home from home 

I usually wait and write my reviews upon departure but my wife and I are so please with this establishment that we couldn't wait. I also tend to provide a few recommendations for improvement but all services and amenities are a cut above e.g. the bungalows, the grounds, the views, the public relations, the food, the animals roaming the grounds = bunny rabbits, the employees and owners...simply great. This hotel is a true find.

This cute little hotel has the most amazing owners. They literally try everything to make sure you are happy by organizing tours, transport, chatting, pickup from the bus...
Lan and her husband were the best!
The views of the mountain were stunning too, with hot air balloons every evening.
Overall, great stay.

Amazing owners, great view

Very friendly people running the hotel, they help you book excursions and everything.
The room is good and the view on the mountains extraordinary beautiful. The swimmingpool is very nice if you come home after a warm day. Good to relax in the place and feeling at home. 
The breakfast is very good with a lot of fruit.

Very good place to stay in Vang Vieng

We didn't stay here, but the wonderful owners were kind enough to let us rent bikes from them when we bit off a little more than we could chew walking back to town after hiking to one of the viewpoints. They even gave us a discount when we came back later in the day for a beer at sunset! 

When we come back to Vang Vieng we will definitely stay here--the setting is incredibly beautiful, they have adorable rabbits and dogs, and the kindness and warmth of the owners truly made an impression on us that we won't soon forget.
