I visited this lodge for three nights, on my first wedding anniversary with my husband. The lodge is heavenly with nature all round and has a romantic set up . The rooms are clean, spacious, classy, all around nature, pure whites and encourages relaxation.
The food is custom made to suit your desires and the variety is just awesome. 
The staff was friendly and interacted freely with us.  The Chef actually came to speak to us after dinner..that was indeed special. I look forward to going back to relax with my husband for a longer period. Well done to Luka and his team for doing a good job and making us relax 

Romantic get away

We loved staying at the ocean spa lodge. Luca and Julia made us feel very welcome. The suite was lovely with very comfortable beds and a great seating area and superb views. The beach is really unspoiled and not crowded at all. 

Lovely place

Spent one night and two days at this lovely beach lodge. Service was very personalized, they cater to your dietary restriction and taste. 
All the rooms are suites and all are different. loved every moment. 

Lovely Place 

We stayed here as part of a safari and beach holiday in August 2019. We were looked after like VIP guests from the moment we were greated at Ukunda airstrip. The gardens, villas, staff, food and the facilities created a perfect setting for relaxing and Giulia and Luca made sure we always had everything we desired. They arranged two special surprise dinners for us during our stay which added to the whole amazing experience. Not only did we get treated like VIPs but we were also made to feel like part of an Ocean Spa family. The staff very quickly picked up on what we liked from the two towels on our sun loungers to a gin and tonic mid morning, it just made everything so effortless and easy. The suite was kept very clean with fresh flowers arranged on the bed every day. It reminded us of a beach villa in the Maldives. Finally I must mention the amazing food, beautifully prepared and presented along with being delightful on the taste buds. The dinner menu each day is a ‘proposal’ and mostly we chose from it but the chef was quite happy to work with our requests on a couple of occasions when we fancied something different. This was a truly wonderful experience which we would love to repeat one day. Thank you Giulia, Luca and team for looking after us and making our stay so special. 

Truly wonderful experience 

Stayed 4 nights at Ocean Spa Lodge after safaris in Rwanda and Maasai Mara and it was everything we wanted. Stunning property built in an African style but to elegant 5 star standards. Friendly smiley staff, delicious food and drinks, beautiful air-conditioned rooms with plentiful indoor and outdoor space, great spa and simply stunning swimming pool and beach location.

Thank you too to resort managers Luca and Julia who made us feel totally at home. Nothing was too much trouble.

Simply Beautiful

We spent three nights here and my whole family thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff is amazingly friendly and attentive and the cuisine is spectacular. The staff members learn your names and tastes and adapt accordingly. Rooms do have air conditioning if desired. Have some extra cash to spend at the “local shop” from the villagers that are allowed to sell local carvings, beadwork and other items. We were sad to leave.

A relaxing way to finish a safari!

We stayed at the Ocean Spa Lodge in January 2019. We had just come from 5 days of safari and were looking forward to relaxing by the ocean. The hotel is absolutely stunning, located right on a beautiful beach that (when we were there, at least) was practically empty and all to ourselves. The rooms and facilities are fantastic. The service is exemplary and the hosts - Luca and Giulia - are great; nothing is too much trouble. I would also add that the food is quite wonderful - lots of fresh fish. Overall, an amazing place to stay if you want relaxation without too much formality. Look forward to visiting again.

Beautiful place to relax after safari

This is the place to be when you are in Mombasa.
We landet at the MOI airport and were collected by the driver from Ocean Spa Lodge. After 1,5 hours we arrived at the beautiful location at Msambweni Beach. Welcomed by the super friendly manager Luca who showed us our room. We loved the interior, it was so luxury, timeless and fits so perfectly to the whole location. Our view from the king size bed was straight to the sea and we heard the sound of the ocean by night. The bathroom was beautiful furnished and the terrace was the perfect sunrise spot. 
The pool area was super nice, big umbrellas, very comfortable sunbeds and a chilled atmosphere. The beach was fantastic and we had it all to ourselves. 
From breakfast over lunch to dinner, the food was excellent. They served local fruits and vegetables and always had a lot of vegetarian options. We had a really special lunch barbecue at the beach with amazing fresh fish. 
Ocean Spa Lodge offers a lot of water activities, we rented some snorkeling gear and there were also surfboards, volleyballs and other water fun stuff. Two times during our stay we did a yoga session in an amazing sunrise view sports room in the morning. My partner got a massage and I got a facial. We both enjoy out treatment at the Spa. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were always looking after us and asked if we needed anything. 

All in all we had a fantastic time at the Ocean Spa Lodge and we’re looking forward to visit it again.

Safe place in a luxury ambiente, looking forward to stay there again

Third visit to this wonderful Kenyan coastal hotel.  Beautiful rooms - we shared the Coral House for our party of 6 adults and this comprises 4 luxurious suites in their own separate villa in the grounds of the hotel.  Luca and Giulia manage the property and are delighful, so attentive and helpful - absolutely nothing is too much trouble.  They are charming and have two young children and two lovely dogs that you can play with if you wish.  There is an extensive white sandy beach that the hotel shares with one other hotel and you can walk the whole length of it and not see anybody else aside from some local fishermen bringing in their catch early in the morning.
The food is outstanding - local specialities together with a different fresh pasta dish ( the Italian influence) every day and masses of the freshest fish and fruit you can imagine.  Without exception the staff are a delight - courteous , friendly and efficient and they make your stay a complete joy.  A perfect destination for people looking for informal luxury in a wonderful location.  We shall visit again

A beach of your own

A wonderful way to relax after safari. We ended our visit to Kenya with a stay at the Ocean Spa Lodge after three days on safari and could not have asked for a better place to relax and recharge before heading home. 

It was ideal, a small number of villa. First class accommodations relaxed atmosphere with large bedrooms beautiful decorated with lovely ambience, big luxurious bathrooms and large terraces, large pool offers stunning views of the Ocean.
This is a new lodge managed by Luca and his wife Julia who are Italian. They are really attentive and are supported by a really friendly helpful group of staff. 

The resort sits on a soft sandy stretch of beach our suite overlooked the ocean. The gardens / grounds are perfectly cultivated and beautifully kept and everything in resort is incredibly clean. You can do a great beach walk, or be happy just within the resort grounds, which are beautiful.

The spa has a range of treatments with a massage, facial and pedicure all of which were very enjoyable. The therapists, like all of the staff, are friendly and make you feel relaxed.

The food is amazing and the wine plentiful. The chef came out to see us every evening to see if we had enjoyed her delicious food. One evening the staff asked us if we would like a BBQ on the beach. They organize everything perfectly. We enjoyed a feast of fresh fish, lobster and steak, it was a delightful evening.
Fresh ingredients prepared with skill and imagination and a menu full of variety and everything absolutely delicious. All the staff delightful; every single person from the gardener to the head waiter utterly charming , helpful and courteous 

This is the perfect spot to just relax and restore your mind and spirit. While we were here we also enjoyed jogging and walking together and wading out looking at sea creatures in the warm shallow waters along this beautiful stretch of beach. 

This was literally the best place for us to unwind after our safari adventures. Very well recommend!!
