I asked my wife to book rooms here for 2 nights in our 2nd Uralsk visit after I've seen the hotel on the high street in our 1st visit. I have a special interest in old Soviet hotels and this is my 3rd one after Azimut Hotel in Astrakhan and Kazakhstan Hotel in Almaty. Staying in these hotels makes me feel like I am in a spy movie and I enjoy it quite much. I will put that aside now and try to make an objective review here.

So, Seyahat is a Soviet hotel with distinct Soviet style and it is old. Rooms are somewhat renovated but still not catching up the day. Not big, not small, bed was acceptable but can't be called comfortable. Rooms have balconies for spring and summer but during our visit in January, it was not possible to enjoy it due to extreme cold.

While talking about the cold, in winter, rooms are not heated enough. It was simply cold and we had to bury ourselves under blankets during the time we spent at the room.

They give breakfast plates, cooked for you, not open buffet. Sausage and eggs, some jam, regular market cheese and tea bags. Restaurant was not clean, especially the glasses for tea. Anyhow, we did not expect much so it did not bother us. Small bar at the reception is good priced to take water and soft drinks to your room, not very much expensive than market prices.

Other than these, I have not much to say about here. Do not come here looking for luxury, it is just an average hotel with small rooms designed for purpose more than comfort. Nice location might be the only attractive feature of the hotel.

Another soviet relic

Good normal quite Hotel in Uralsk, good location, and good personal. Rooms really normal. For the price it is Ok. You have almost everything really near the Hotel. Some rooms are new and other really old, so try to ask for the new ones.

Old room with furniture falling apart,single bed which was very uncomfortable,  room smells of smoke, the room was also very cold, the hotel breakfast was terrible, the evening meal was also terrible, the hotel requires a full renovation,
