Before you read further I'd recommend not bothering with this hotel if you're wanting someone that can understand english.

Its about 15 minutes walk from the station and we find it pretty easily.  The lady at the front desk could only speak Japanese so booking in was difficult.  We had to pay in advance which now I wished I had refused.  There is a small clanky elevator to get up the 4 floors of the hotel. 

My first surprise was the heavy metal prison type door to our room, the second was the horrible carpet and beds.  There was a bottle of fabric spray to help kill the odour in the room.  The bathroom was Japanese style and a very deep bath which you needed to step into for the shower.  

The final straw was that you needed to hand in the key when you went out - we noticed that a lot of the other rooms doors were wide open when we got there, ?airing them out.  We decided about an hour after we booked in we werent going to stay and we went downstairs to let them know.  We wasted our breath as they couldn't comprehend what we were trying to stay.

So, don't book there, I can't imagine a worse place to stay.
