In general the service was very good. I would like to stay again in the future

Toyoko inn is an excellent choice in Numazu and is at a walking distance from the train station. The rooms are cozy, comfortable and spacious. The room had a spectacular view of the city and it was mesmerizing to sip on tea sitting by the window in the evening while it drizzled outside. Numazu is a much better and economical choice for stay to explore the Fujisan region.

Great stay

The small town of Numazu gets quiet very quickly once the sun sets, yet there are 2 Toyoko Inns within a block from the railway station. This one is straight ahead once you exit the station (the other one is to the left at the intersection). Rooms are standard - predictable and clean. There are a few local restaurants nearby, although the choice is not great and in the worst case, a McDonalds, Lawson, and Family Mart are all within walking distance. From here, it is only a half hour train ride to Gotemba, where buses will take you to the Fuji 5 lakes region. You can actually see Fuji from this town already.

Good base for the Fuji region

Toyoko inn is an excellent choice for a stay in Numazu. It is a 5 minutes walk from the train station. The rooms are cozy, comfortable and spacious. In fact it was the most spacious room we had among all the hotels we stayed in Japan. There was space around the bed on three sides and space enough for a small table and a couple of chairs by the window to sip on your cup of tea in the morning or evening. Our room on the top floor also had a splendid view of the city. Numazu is a charming town and Toyoko inn would be a highly recommended place to stay. They even had complimentary breakfast which starts at 7 but we needed to catch an early train so we couldn't sample that.

Bed was hard but convenient location. Breakfast buffet was lacking in variety

It’ a decent hotel for a couple though it’s a bit small if you plan to bring a kid along. Good service and clean, comfortable bed. Just keep in mind that the parking is limited and if you get one space from the hotel parking is that kind that use kind of elevator which you don’t have a free access all the time you want to get something from your car. Anyway it’s a nice hotel in general!

Affordable and spacious rooms.

Nice and clean hotel with excellent friendly staff. A range of nice restaurants in the area. Consider the south side of the station, which is much more lively and has more choices for shopping and eating out. Our room had a window to the north; great view of Mt. Fuji.

Great bargain; very friendly and helpful staff

It is the best service so far. And we stay here for many times and staff gave us kinda very good image for every inconvienice. Hope every stay were good for every customer. The location near the station and surround by much locate restaurants. Is the best choose door stay .hope ever enjoy 

Good

Stopped by Numazu City for a solo day trip and decided to book 1 night stay at this hotel.  

Location: It is located at a residential area hence it is very quiet even during the day but it is only 6mins walk away from the Numazu Station hence it is pretty convenient.  BIVI shopping mall is just about 5mins walk away while convenient store is within walking distance so again this hotel is very located at a very convenient spot.  There were a few drinking bars/pub nearby hence music could be heard during late night hence walking alone in the street for a lady is not recommendable.  

Customer Service: I was fortunate enough to be greeted by a front desk staff that speaks basic English so I had no problem checking-in and understanding the hotel regulation.  Pyjamas (at typical Japanese free size) & convenient packed amenities were being provided at the reception for guest should they require too (though shampoo/shower gel are readily available in your hotel room). 

Hotel room: Room was considerably just nice for a single pax with a huge glass window pane facing Mount Fuji direction with views of the mountain if you are lucky (when weather is good).  Bathroom was of reasonable size with basic amenities available just like any other business hotel.  My corner room had a long corridor from the door to the bathroom and bed so I have quite a bit of space there too.  

Complimentary breakfast:  Breakfast spread was good and heavy so I felt really fortunate.  As I do not understand Japanese writing, the cafeteria lady was kind enough to teach me on what to scoop and which utensil to accommodate with.  And the kind front desk staff who spoke to me in English the day before came over to explain to me on the menu for the day which makes me feels very much at home by their hospitality despite my language barrier.  

I heard from some online folks that the cafeteria would usually be crowded with people during usual breakfast hour prior to working hours but I had no problem of such when I reach the cafeteria at 9am as all working people would have left the hotel by then.  

Places to go: There are quite a no. of nice restaurant and eatery (that's serve delicious udon, yakitori & Japanese dessert) at BIVI ( 5 - 7mins walk) or Nakamise Shopping Area (15 - 18mins walk away from the hotel) so Numazu City is worth exploring at your own pace if you have an extra day while passing by to Mount Fuji in experience suburb lifestyle.
