40 reviewsLoved our room! Quite large with a table and chairs where we would find a tray with hot green tea and snacks when we got home in the afternoon. The ryokan also has a traditional hot bath which was amazing after a long day of walking. The hosts were incredible, very friendly and had great food and sight-seeing suggestions. I was a little nervous about the shared bathroom, but everything was spotlessly clean and we never had to wait to use the bathroom or showers. It was very quiet and the heat worked great. We had several wonderful evenings where we came home tired, took a hot bath, and enjoyed some tea in our room. The neighborhood is very quiet, but also very convenient to Kyoto Train Station which is where many of the bus lines end. If you want to see sights all over the city, this is a perfect location! I would definitely stay here again.
