Terrace Garden Mihama Resort

This is an excellent hotel. The service, especially from Mizuki, was exceptional but all the staff were really good it's just that Mizuki stood out as the best. The rooms are huge and the balconies are spacious. Bathroom is very spacious and well set up and they have two air-conditioners, one for the living room and one for the bedroom. But it is much cheaper than the 5-star hotels next to the beach like the Hilton, The Vessel and LeQu for a reason. It is a 600 metre walk to the beach. You can do this in 15 mins but its's hard work in the middle of Summer when it is 35 degrees celsius. It is next to a major road and the traffic noise can be bad until about 1am because there are local hoons on motor bike and hotted-up cars which make a lot of noise (it's part of the local culture for young guys to show off their hotted-up cars at the combinis). It is also strange to have two king singles rather than one king bed in the bedroom but that is a bit of a Japanese thing. I had to do some work on my laptop but they don;t have a study desk so I had to crouch over the laptop on the coffee table so tat would be an improvement. But otherwise, it is much cheaper than the 5-star hotels along the beach and it is very comfortable (despite the traffic noise) and the staff are fantastic.
