We spend about 5 months of the year in Negril.  We have stayed at most of the hotels along the strip. Here's the run down of what we like about Zanzi:

Rooms: 4/5
Simple and very clean.  Has all the basics that you need.  It's a fairly new hotel which is great because everything has a new feel to it.  There are no frills here, but the beds are comfortable and it has a dresser, tv, wardrobe (in some rooms).  The location of the rooms is fantastic.  It's a small hotel so it takes you literally seconds to walk to the beach front. Rooms are always spotless. Most beds are very comfortable except this last trip we stayed in the one large apartment which had two Queen beds pushed together and the mattresses were too soft....we could feel the boards of the frame through the mattress. 

Service and staff: 5/5
Everyone that works here are great. Friendly and helpful staff. The manager, Jennifer, is wonderful. This was our second visit to Zanzi and she was very accommodating both times. She goes above and beyond to meet your needs. The cleaning ladies were also fantastic. We stayed for 10 days and had the ladies do our laundry a couple of times which we gave them $20 each time. They did a great job and we really appreciated it. The ladies were always chatting with my one year old daughter and were very genuine. The service staff are all very attentive and friendly 

Location: 5/5
This is my favourite area of 7 mile beach. It's not very busy and is a little more relaxed and quiet compared to going further west on the beach. New chairs with umbrellas and beach tables.  The bar is 10 feet away as well as a patio with umbrellas. 

Restaurant/bar: 4/5
Food was always fresh and tasty. Some of the food was a little pricey. Drinks were also great and they were well priced compared to a lot of other places along the strip. It's nice having the bar and restaurant only steps away from your beach chair. Sometimes the music was a little loud from the bar, but the bartenders were great and would turn it down if you asked. It's starting to be the quiet time of year so I think the young staff were just enjoying playing some tunes. It often didn't bother me but some visitors would just request to have it turned down. 

Overall I would stay here again and again. The price is great, it's always very clean, I like that it's a small hotel and the beach location is fantastic. Thanks for a great time Zanzi. We are looking forward to staying with you again soon!

Great spot, great staff

I would have never thought!! What a beautiful small resort.  Everyone one very welcoming.  The only thing was the coffee in the morning.  I was paying for my one coffee a day that I have.  Just to find out 3 days before I left that the first coffee is on the house.  The room was a basic but very comfortable room.  The drinks at the bar were expensive but so was the food.  Other then that it was amazing and I will be staying their again for sure !!!

Great location

I booked this hotel for 9 nights and I was robbed off 10% of my total pay. They kept my money even if they were the ones who closed abruptly, without any notice. Cheaptickets could not help me get my money and kept telling me that they have to wait for an answer from Zanzi to approve a full refund. I've been calling Zanzi since June! No response!! How are customers not protected against hotel closures? I have heard different stories about what's going on at Zanzi's and it's a shame. Please, please, Everyone, stare clear of this hotel!!! You will not get your full refund and there's no working number for them! New management or not, I will never book anything with them! That's just not how you do business!

I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS HOTEL!

We had booked this resort for three days in August, but heard from a relative living in Jamaica who went to check it out for us earlier this week that it is closed. The website is still operational and none of thehotel booking sites seem to know. BEWARE.

Closed

I had reservations for June, went to check in and the place was locked. Heard from a friend today (July 17, 2017) that the place is still closed.  I've had no contact from their management or others affiliated with this establishment.  I'm still awaiting my refund!!!
