289 reviewsIt is very difficult to find anything negative about this place, everything is so perfectly thought through. Located in the center of the attractive Vinschgau village of Burgeis there are plenty of opportunities to go on hikes or for excursions to interesting nearby places. Since we were a family party we had the opportunity to look at different rooms, also in an adjacent more traditional building. Our room had a balcony with views towards the Ortler mountains. What I especially enjoyed were the swimming pool downstairs - which is heated, a bit too much for me, and being partly inside, partly outside, separated by a plastic curtain. There was a sauna as well (Kiefernholz, pine wood) and a hotter one with Zirbelholz (Swiss Pine), but also a Dampfbad (Steam Bath) with Sarner Porphyr Stone (which is from the South Tyrol and not the Swiss town of Sarnen, as I first thought). We usually met at the bar in the early evening, trying South Tyrolean white wines and then moved over to the dining hall for dinner: a Salad Buffet and at the end a Dessert Buffet with in between three courses which could again be chosen from three different dishes. The quality was top.
