We stayed here for 7 nights in August 2017.  After travelling around Puglia for 5 days we wanted somewhere for rest and relaxation by the beach.  We couldn't have found a better place.

When you ring the bell at the gate on arrival, you enter from a quiet residential road into a little haven.  The front and back gardens are beautifully laid out with sofas, sunbeds, olive trees and lemon trees.  Our room was heaven!  We stayed in Luna with a four poster bed and large balcony looking out over the back garden.  The room was beyond comfortable and beautifully decorated in white, thus oozing tranquillity.  Marissa and Raffaele live on the ground floor and the four guest rooms are on the first floor.  The B&B is about 20 minute's flat walk into the centre of Porto Cesareo which has many restaurants, bars, shops, boat hire and beaches.  Beaches and sunset bars are also at the end of the road (two minute's flat walk).  Breakfast was buffet style, all beautifully presented and delicious: cakes, cereal, fresh natural yoghurt, fruit, yoghurts, savoury pastries, which you ate on the front balcony.

Porto Cesareo was busier than we expected.  I would describe it as a large town, not especially pretty, plenty going on, full amenities.  There are many fabulous beaches along this coastline, you can take your pick, both public and private.  The sand is white and the sea is clear.  We paid Euros 20 a day for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella.  You could pay a lot more!  We selected a quieter beach but if you wanted music, water sports, etc you could easily find this.

We arrived by bus from Lecce. The bus stop (Via Rizzo) is 5 minute's flat walk away, the journey from Lecce Termini costs Euros 3.20.  Getting around Porto Cesareo is easy as the B&B provides free bicycles with locks and the whole area is flat.  We cycled to the beach every day and one day we cycled around the coast about 4/5 miles to the beaches beyond Torre Squillace, stopping to swim, have lunch and eat gelato!  Here, we felt very much off the tourist trail.  The B&B provided beach towels on request.

Villa Teresa Maria and the owners have such grace, elegance and tranquillity you leave feeling renewed and refreshed.
